Maluch JBeam rebuild

    Yeah since I have to wait for others anyway I decided to add another quick thing.
    Currently doing final tweaking and performance testing. I had to lower the overall drag coef again after the changes to the hood that I made some time ago, because the car was too slow for automated performance tests (it's requred to reach over 100 km/h top speed in it).
    Results of automated testing after the change: Pretty much spot on compared to real life testing. Funny how it got a pretty high offroad score purely due to the fact that it's so small that it's hard to get it stuck lol

    Testing is mostly to see if it still needs adjustments, and I'm constantly fixing little things. The mod has many little problems as it turns out, each is a few seconds fix.

    So there was a big issue that I'm not sure how I never noticed, basically all the factory intakes except for the earliest one were removing way more power than they should, making the 650cc engine less powerful than the 600cc lol. It had 22hp instead of 24. This had many side effects and I need to correct a lot of stuff after this fix, I only noticed it when none of the 650E configs were able to reach 100 km/h top speed at all... Will need more beta testing in terms of fuel economy too.

    Performed automatic testing for all 118 configs now, it took me 8 hours in total, as I was also manually reviewing the process in real time.
    The results are surprisingly accurate to what Wikipedia states (I know it's not the best source of info, but better than Automobile Catalog that simulates theoretical results instead of showing real ones). The top speed of factory configs typically ranges from 103 to 108 km/h in game, while irl it's supposed to be 105 to 108. Really close. The main factor reducing the top speed is weight, richer trims are heavier as they have more accessories. There are exceptions out of this top speed range:
    • Sport and tuned configs - of course they will be faster because they have more power, lower end tuning can have 110-130 km/h top speed while stuff like hillclimb version or all the engine swaps can have even 150-200. (Drag and top speed versions can go 300+ km/h)
    • Configs with extra parts that are not stock - stuff like roof racks with loads, spoilers, widebody, offroad parts, even dummies, it all can weigh relatively a lot and lowers the top speed. Typically these barely reach 100 km/h or can't reach it at all, the 2 that can't do it are the ricer (ironically its 3 wings make it much slower lol) and the overload which has so much load that it weighs 910kg instead of 670 (base weight + driver).
    • The convertibles... The game can't simulate the aerodynamics of a convertible too well, they are supposed to have way worse aero, but have way better instead so they are faster. The cabrio sport can almost reach 130 km/h, which would make it the fastest stock config, irl it's probably around 110 at best.
    • The Diesel prototype - top speed is 90 km/h because it's restricted by the redline of the engine. Perhaps a production variant would have dfferent gearing but the prototype had the same transmission and diff as the gasoline version, it wants to go faster but can't. (You can swap the transmission for a 6 speed if you want to see.)
    Now I have to fix up the last things and optimize the mod, while I wait for one more thing that Szeroki Pędzel is making. Then sending the mod to AdamPLG so he can add the last missing things in the interior, and meanwhile final beta testing, then release.

    I have a suggestion for after this will release. Will it be possible to add the 800cc TDI i2 from the VW XL1?

    It's a hybrid so probably it's hard to find the specs of the engine alone without the electric motor, also someone would have to model it so idk

    Cleaning up stuff, removed around 100MB of unused/duplicate/pre-compressed files so far, will be another 100MB gone after we delete the Blender files from the mod which I think AdamPLG will have to do after he finishes the model. Reduced the size of some HUGE textures (idk why TAN made them so big lol, some of them 10 times smaller still don't look pixelated, others 2 times smaller), that reduced 130MB more. This is looking promising, maybe the file size will be reasonable in the end, it all depends on the new thumbnails that will be made before last beta testing.

    I am not sure what is better in that second picture. The fact that it is a stock image or it is a 126p strapped to a bicycle

    First one is in the mod already (not exactly like the toy, closer to what it looked like irl)

    Second one seems to be based on a type of trailer that is made by sawing the Maluch in half and modifying the rear half to make it a travel trailer lol. Idk why someone would do that if you can buy a dedicated Maluch travel trailer called Niewiadów N126, but it seems quite popular to do that out of the el model.
