the mod is soooooo good. My fav 60's cars are the Cornet and Chargers, all most all around fav cars. Y'all keep up the good work
I love it! I always wanted a muscle car that has pbr! A few things though I would recommend fixing is 1. The police version in ai traffic works but they spawn different colors instead of staying black 2. The blinkers/light position is a bit off. (Another small thing is that the sounds for the suspension are a bit out dated but its fine.)
The Police Livery does that because I believe it's a colourable one, and all that would need to be done is to not make it colourable, and the blinkers I have no idea how to fix. I'm not that skilled in vehicle modding, just skin making, really.
Tuning tip for the Coronet: I love this mod, but I always found it too way too tail happy, implausibly so. It would always oversteer before understeering in most circumstances, and once the rear end started going it was almost impossible to catch with counter-steer. No suspension tuning I tried completely fixed it, including a tuned rear sway bar…until I removed the rear sway bar entirely. That’s the key for whatever reason. I did a few other things like stiffening the front end a bit, and handles great, removing the rear sway is what gave me 80% of results. Before if you carefully increased steering at a steady 60mph or so the rear ended would step out. And you couldn’t catch it to save your life. Now it actually begins to understeer if you crank the wheel far enough driving at a steady speed, which is how a 60 muscle car should behave (use a squeeze of brake, a squeeze of throttle, or even sometimes *both* if you want to get the real end lose) and you can even drift a little without just spinning every time. The difference is night and day.
Thank you for your input! I have been having this issue with several muscle cars. I tried this and it was the best workaround. I tried everything else and nothing else has even come close to helping with it. Two thumbs way up for you!
Great job with the mod, the new engines look great and I always wondered where this mod had gone. Just a heads up though the 383 in this year of car would be the B engine not the RB. The Hemi on the other hand is an RB engine. Also the 318 would've used the A904 3spd automatic not the A727.
If you do happen to update the mod at some point I would like to see a generic version of the super bee side stripes, I wanna put them on an R/T. Kinda like the lancehead stripe on the original mod.
robben you have been making some really cool sound mods for a lot of cars but by any chance will you ever release them? if not thats fine but all the sounds you make for beamng have been verry good.
I seem to have a similar frame of mind with this particular mod. I love it, but at the same time I don't. I gave it a solid shot using your experience as a framework, and tweaked things bit by bit until I *thought* things were going well. Lol nope, I just can not find a happy medium between massive understeer, or "omg just shoot me" oversteer. I seem to only move the breaking point between them a little further either direction. Perhaps I'll get it right someday, who knows.
Just delete the rear sway mate, and tune the front a bit. Other quirks this car has is low angle of steering, oddly so, think it maxed out at 28 degrees of toe...obviously this makes catching the rear end if it does step out harder. And the basic steering box won't give you this much if you only have 900 degrees in your sim wheel and have the virtual wheel matching. So what I did was go in and tweak the quick ratio or sport steering box (whatever it's called) hydros in the suspension file for higher angle as much as I could without tie rods breaking, which comes out to like 34 degrees maximum toe...better.
