dumb question everything working perfectly at 0.23.5.2; but i can't seem to switch the charge modes/ev mode/ auto brake hold when using the bus. Is there a parameter (i.e. the bus should be in park to switch modes? also the auto start stop function can be more aggressive? seems like it loves to idle and only turn of the engine when it feels to do so
Hello all, just wanted to say that I was having a separate problem where the accelerator would lock up and the controls would freeze when I let off the throttle, it would get stuck from 17-30%, but when I disabled the wentward expansion pack, a previous suggestion, that seemed to fix the problem, which is good. The only thing is, it's kind of a minor inconvenience, as I like using that pack for the retarder function on almost every bus. But thats all. It's not a huge issue, just a minor thing, reactivating and deactivating it.
I know. I'm saying that it's slightly inconvenient that to use this mod, you have to disable another mod that can let you open the front or back door individually universally on every bus
What? --- Post updated --- I edited the key bindings to open one door at a time when I had the expansion pack mod, but I can't use them when the mod is inactive and Im using this hybrid mod
Now I'm having the complete opposite situation where I can get the bus moving, but once it's moving, it won't slow down or come to a stop at all, even in EV mode, and I apparently completely lose my steering as well so it's basically uncontrollable.
Can you disable all other mods aside from "Arcanox Core" and "Hybrid Citybus" and see if you still have the problem? It sounds like another mod is causing a conflict and causing part of the vehicle code to crash.
Yeah that's what happened to me also. It does work if you disable the mods, but that's the problem since I have a mod that lets you open only the rear door or front door by themselves. It's sad that an apparently non-universal mod has to be made to add such a basic feature --- Post updated --- Also once I created key bindings for "toggle ev" "brake hold" and the charging one, they started showing up on every other vehicle in the game, which is weird.

The game unfortunately doesn't provide a good way of managing custom vehicle-specific keybinds right now without completely replacing the vehicle's existing keybinds, and it doesn't work well with common code (that's shared between vehicles) either. Due to all of the hybrid code being "vehicle-agnostic" and shareable between different types of vehicles, the easiest way to make the custom inputs work was to make them global instead of per-vehicle. I'm hoping at some point in the future there will be a better way of handling custom keybinds so that I can only show them if the current vehicle has a hybrid system equipped.
The buzzing idling noise and some other noises on this bus seem to have stopped working with this new beamng update.
The new version of FMOD that BeamNG 0.27 upgraded to broke all mod sounds. Unfortunately there isn't anything I (or any other modder) can do to fix this; it's something that has to be fixed on the BeamNG side.
