1963 VOLKSWAGEN Beetle - April 2022 Update (Beta) Here is a small update with some fixes and improvements! ❤️ DOWNLOAD (via Google Drive) Main Post Scripts Added a configurable key to reset Herbie's trust in the player. (Not assinged by default.) Herbie doesn't care about hubcaps anymore. More randomized hopping. Readded random sounds when hopping. Herbie stops hopping when the ignition is turnd off. Fixed and added the body regneration of Herbie. (Personality > Regeneration) When regeneration is active, the oil LED blinks rapidly. Materials Fixed material reflections. Added skin able ragtops. Added body-colored trims and handles. Fixed missing texture issues. Fixed a few UV issues. Configs Fixed missing parts in the default config. (double-click in vehicle selection.) Improved Herbie configs.
Awesome! --- Post updated --- a few things i noticed is that when herbie is angry he still doesent hop like how he used to (most likely due to the changed suspension jbeam) and the wheels that are for him still arent in the mod
so after some more testing it seems the tires need some updating, the high grip tires dont seem to have better grip anymore and the tires also have that bug where if you pop one and then reset the car it freezes the game. still a very good update, im suprised the beam regen script could be fixed
Oh and a few more things, the configs seem messed up a bit for herbie, some are missing the window stickers or ragtop and i believe the ones from the first movie should have the no logo hubcaps as well, also i can see through the dashboard in the trunk --- Post updated --- Just remembered as well ALL the herbie configs have metric speedometers as well, oh well easy fix

A front flip with a car is not a good idea lol it causes some engine damage irl so I'm not surprised that he's angry at it
To any of you people driving herbie at 200 mph and then crashing and wondering why hes so slow now "hurry is waste. waste is cracked bowl which never see rice"
The "big download thing" should get you to a google drive page and on this page at the top right corner, there is a small arrow pointing down, labeled "download". Click on that and it should download. Put the ZIP file into the "mods" folder of BeamNG.
Is there a way to reset / disable the dynamic rpm / hate-love feature? I'm an awful driver, but I don't want to permanently make the car go slow for me. Feels quite stressful that it's going to remember every single screw up I do... specially in a game like BeamNG I'll just use stock if there isn't any, but it'd be great if it was possible
In the latest beta there is a button to remap it but you have to set it up in controls, otherwise you can go to vehicle config and remove herbie behaviour.
As SkyeDoge said, there is a new vehicle specific key since the last update, which is unassigned by default. Just assign a key and just by pressing a button you can reset the herbie trust to the default value.
Question: How long does it take for Herbie to start bouncing and hopping? (when he's happy of course)
Do you think that he'll become happy when you'll let him stay at one spot or do you mean what have to be done to get him to a happy mood? The answer seems obvious, though I didn't really tested this by myself: I think when Herbie is in a certain mood, he'll may be like that forever, until you make him feel different by bad crashing (caughing mood #irishcoffee) or driving on racetracks (happy mood). Exceptionally he gets also happy when you let him crash down on the Cliff map. I hope that answered your question Superneutrino
