Hey, we do not support Linux yet so more issues than on Windows are expected.
It's a known issue in the list :)

Same issue on Windows with the latest Nvida drivers and Vulkan API. Looks like a bug with the background blur introduce with the new UI. I was able to temporarily fix the issue by spawning on a map, then load another, but as soon as I open the UI, the blur came back and never disappear.

Also, I get less FPS on Vulkan than DirectX 11. For instance, I have around 110 FPS with DX11 against only 72 on Vulkan. Both tests were realized in GPU bottleneck condition (Ultra settings in 1440p) on an RTX 3070 mobile (TGP 140w) and a Ryzen 7 5800H.

Tried to test Vulkan, but when starting the game it's a black screen and I get an error BeamNG.drive 0.24.0.1 0x00000001
I've already tried clearing my cache and updating my video card driver, but the error persists.

Please take note of the yet ;) Praying to the jbeam gods for a native release in the next year or so.

Understood, there are a few niggles but overall this game does run fantastic on Linux using DXVK.

I tried playing it on linux as well as an experiment, but i did it through steam proton (or whatever it is called). however, it is more likely that they would put the Linux version out through beamng.tech, as steam for me on Ubuntu is not exactly ideal for anything (and it would make more sense in a commercial/academic environment to use Linux for beam than your average player.).

As of v0.24.1.1 the only map I can load is Grid, Small, Pure. However, the lighting is flashing, the screen is blurry, I only get like 10 fps and then it crashes with error 0xC0000005 shortly afterwards

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U
GPU: AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G with Radeon Graphics

To be fair, in v0.23 I couldn't even start the game (it crashed with error 0x00000001). So yeah progress has definitely been made lol.

Hey, we do not support Linux or Wine, please test Vulkan only on native Windows.

Are there any plans for Steam Deck support, via proton?

    The issue you’ve noticed:
The game will not launch at all for me, I always get the error 0xC0000005

    This happens when:
I try launching the game through steam, using both regular and safe mode for Vulcan API

    My specs are:
Windows 10 Pro, Nvidia graphics driver 511.79, 32 GBs dual-channel RAM, and all the stuff below here

Launching the game in Vulkan Mode may cause instabilities with the game, crashes, and blurred visuals.

We are aware of the issues and investigating potential causes

Testing this out, runs okay, albeit it has long loading times and FPS does cough here and there during the gameplay. What I noticed is that the blurry view only happens on regular view, but when enabling Normal Map from Visualization for example, disables it.

This is not a problem with resolution but with UI blur.
Check the first post for the more information :)

Hey. You are running an outdated operating system. Please upgrade your OS and drivers before reporting bugs.
The issue might be an incompatible driver or its bad implementation on Windows 7.
We recommend using at least 64 bit Windows 10 to run the game properly.
