So now we know why the dev team has been quiet lately ... they've been busy testing mission routes for the community contest!
we thought of everything under the darn sun for why they where inactive, and not once did we consider they where just... playing the game at least we know now
Now that the staff members announced the results of the Community Mission Routes Contest, I wonder if the routes created by the winning entries will be incorporated into the game as official scenarios in a future update. After all, why else would they host said contest? The staff members' comments on the blogpost might support this possibility. By the way, congratulations to the winners of the contest
2 theories of mine. Theory 1: The contest was just for fun. Theory 2: There might be a small part of Campaign mode added? or a new type of mission? But hey, thats just a theory!
Tbh, I highly doubt it. I mean, it wouldn't be productive for the entirety of the game, especially when we think the Dev Team also prepares the future updates.
I don´t know if some of you keep track of the steam chart for the game ( https://steamcharts.com/app/284160#All ) but this last period in between updates has taken quite a toll on the average number of players. Usually the levels are quite stable and only fall a bit the month prior to an update but this last time it´s fallen quite a lot. It´s in the company´s interest to keep gaining players and enlarging their platform so I find it quite weird they haven´t really been active on their social media. Anyway, a supercar and so on should also give the game more presence and attention and could potentially get them many more players.
It's my personal belief that the developers have seen the new releases, and, in response (as well as a response to other factors we don't yet know about), stepped up their development speed with all hands on deck. Hence the lack of social media posts and borderline radio silence on the forums- I would, in all honesty, not be surprised if we saw the fabled Civetta Supercar in the next update, followed by a huge break for all members of the team, as they would have had to have been fully heads-down laser-focused on development for the last few months to get it done. Could be totally wrong, and I don't intend to hype myself up for a false reality, it just makes the most sense to me personally.
