Hate me for that, but in my opinion, the devs shouldn‘t leave things out in remasters because of mods, especially not if it is something such as the aforementioned RV upfit for the H-Series, because that is not officially represented in the game. Also, mods and offical content can easily coexist as it is the case with many things.

There will always be near infinite possibilities to mod any car, I mean facelifts, prefacelifts, newer and older generations, tuning parts, ricer parts, engine swaps from any irl or in-game car, skins, various types of motorsport, weird kinds of modifications, and dozens of new body styles can always be a thing, and then there's the ridiculous stuff like in the Gavril Vertex... There is absolutely no way the devs could possibly add ALL of this to the vanilla game.

Why do so many in the community advocate for the modders to do the dev's work with content? We shouldn't want a game that needs third party additions to feel complete and the modding community shouldn't be actively hindering development of the game. When Bethesda ships a half finished game and lets the community finish the game it's a bad thing, yet people around here will sometimes say that content should be left up to the community for Beam... It frustrates me that games like Cities Skylines has "must have" mods that the game doesn't feel playable without. We shouldn't be wanting that. People's main complaint against the modern DLC business model is that AAA companies are shipping half complete games, so why flip the script suddenly?

As said above, there will always be a place for the modding community, so why should the team intentionally leave out highly requested items with the intent of hoping that maybe a modder will add one of dev quality that will never be broken?..

The D-Series and LeGran got a lot more than most of the remasters, and some big stuff got left out of a few of them.

    • The Roamer never got the somewhat highly requested 2-Door
    • In terms of content, the Pessima mostly got race/aftermarket stuff. That's great, but some more factory content and another body style would've been nice
    • The Pigeon got a fair bit of stuff, but still has a lot of potential. The bulk of her content was the sister car.
    • The H-Series got the facelift(s) and hi-roof/passenger configs, but as a van it has a ton of potential content left out, including some highly requested stuff.
I'm not saying every possible content has to be added in a single remaster pass. Maybe they just want to get some content in alongside a quality-focused remaster and someday will circle back for a content focused update. It certainly is nice that they squeezed in three remasters in the previous update, even if they weren't as big as the D-Series overhaul.

at very least, it's not worth it for them to make every requested variant, if only for the lack of manpower.

I've no doubt that a kentarch vantruck, some alternate pessima body styles, and an electric wigeon were at least considered by the dev team; they would have simply been put aside because they only have so much time to get a remaster done, and realistically, you have to stop yourself somewhere with all the weird obscure niche content, as cool as it is.

I wonder what happens when the UST reaches page 2020. (Spoiler: probably nothing good)

OT: wonder if the covet would get a rounder, blobbier version, could be a newer gen, or even a facelift..

I'm talking only the vehicle that got the remaster, not of the new vehicle they add in the same updates.

I really hope we get a teaser on Tuesday. I think that the longer we go without a teaser, the more insane some people go.

March is clearly not possible, because we have like 4 more days until April begins. It still have a chance to come in April, but we'll see, when we'll receive new teaser, at which point is the development advanced, and if the update is near or not.

Late April (just before the Easter holidays at the earliest) seems the most logical.

I wouldn’t eliminate the possibility of it updating in march. Unlikely, but possible. I think early to mid April will be more likely

I know the devs said they won't do a firetuck because of a lack of water physics, but I wonder if we'll ever get a rescue kind of truck. Or that famous NYPD Police Truck

I think the possibility of the update being launched in march is highly unlikely considering we only have two days left of the month. Early to mid April is much more likely.
