Openable Windows
Vanilla Vehicles

Recommended Mods:
Openable Windows Extra - Modded vehicles.
Openable Mod - Opening doors, hoods, and trunks.
Openable Controls - Assigns all controls for this mod and openable mod.

How to use:
For each window, equip the part in the vehicle config menu.


Once you've equipped the parts, you'll be able to use the controls shown below.
Press keys to open/close fully.
Hold keys to open/close to your desired spot.
If controls are not showing for you, then you need to install Openable Controls and then unpack it.


My plans for this mod
I want to have all vanilla vehicles in the pack.
Once I get the time I will be adding window tint to the pack.
I will be researching into how audio works with BeamNG, hopefully leading to me adding opening/closing sounds and various wind sounds as you drive with open windows.

Are sound effects possible? If so is the work necessary reasonable or just not worth it?

 

In the trailer video, the doors on the Pessima seem to work. When I use it on the Pessima, the rear doors are flimsy. Is there anything wrong?


(I have all the mods installed, and I made sure that the openable controls were unpacked)

 

Hello, i dreamed about this feature to be in game as default... and they just making some other stuf like menus...... I didnt donwload mod yet, but how its make what you using for windows hydros? id so you can add sound of opening and closing windows like on a bus with doors.. i may help with that.

 

the new update broke them maybe, but it seems that the new version of opnable doors has fixed them

hey, this might be a bit much to ask but any chance we could rear quarter windows that are openable, such as on the wendover? i feel like they would be irl

sounds like a cool idea.

 

and in the bastion it is also visible that the lowered window is visible from the outside and in the bastion you can also see that the lowered glass is visible from the outside and cheri cheri tograc and vivace

 

Here I have the same thing
