You're not entitled to have authors always reply to you. And plus, even if they didn't reply, it doesn't mean that they ignored it since it wasn't a question

You've just stated obvious things which nobody asked, what do you expect.

Try deactivating every mod except for the crown vic, sometimes a mod that you don't suspect is tampering with the mod is the suspect

    This might work:
First navigate to appdata/local/beamng.drive/0.24/vehicles, try to find a folder that says crown vic or anything similar, then delete the "main.materials.json" file. Then go back to the 0.24 folder and delete the temp folder, which is basically the quicker way of clearing cache. Then try again with only the crown vic mod activated.

Hmm. It is almost as if it is supposed to drive that way. What do you expect? An F1 car?

Please learn how to spell and how to use grammar before you try and say "smart" things, you sound a lot like a child.

Honestly, I would not be surprised if he expected just that.
He's probably the one guy who thinks a good mod HAS to be fast AND well done.

He probably has Ferraris from world of mods with good "handeling" as he said.

How did this thread get so off-topic after a span of a few replies, just say what you have to say and move on

I hope you won't take every single response now as "hate" like most people do...

This is not what a meshslap is at all. You have no idea what "meshslap" means. It reuses modified Grand Marshal parts because they look close enough to Crown Vic ones, and the real parts just weren't there in the original model (Forza games don't have models for parts like this). This is a NORMAL AND PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE THING to do in other mods, idk why you have a problem with it. You shouldn't force the author to make his own models, it would be months of work. Meanwhile a meshslap wouldn't have those parts at all, they would be invisible, because meshslaps are terribly lazy.

Oh no 1cm that's a lot we are all gonna die because of this

It does but it's not a bad thing. It's better than base the Jbeam on a vanilla car than make your own one from scratch that is badly made, and of course someone's first car won't have good scratch made Jbeam.

I actually agree with this, the placement of the nodes on the whole rear half seems more lazy than the front, like the author just gave up there. The front is decent except fenders and headlights, those could be improved.
HOWEVER, Jbeam doesn't need to be 100% precise to work well. Geometry matters more a lot of the time. In the case of this mod, most Jbeam is good enough for its purpose (I would advise fixing the trunk and headlights though).
And it looks similar to the Grand Marshal because it was based on it, WHICH IS NOT A BAD THING, it just could have been modified better.
As for the wheels, idk if the model or the Jbeam has wrong width, this should be corrected.

You say as you give the mod a terribly bad rating which is not deserved...

This is a problem with all mods that use Forza models due to the models being extremely high poly. It has nothing to do with shade smooth, and happens to every part of the car. There is nothing really the author can do about this so I would give it a 9/10 personally.

Again, reuse of vanilla assets is not a bad thing. 99.9% of all mods do this (not even counting bootleg meshslaps here). Try to name 10 mods that are 100% scratch made without vanilla stuff in them, will be hard. It does reduce detail, but the only other option is modeling them yourself, which takes months... Your score is reasonable, I would maybe give 7.5, but remember that it was done for a reason, not out of laziness.

Wrong, the interior is from Forza. It even has seatbelts and the same lazy carpet texture. Maybe it's too dark to see it well. And it's not lazy at all, it has all the functionality that vanilla cars have, + a working odometer, for me it's easily 9.5/10, would have been 10 if the carpet looked better.

Can't argue with that lol. Maybe in this category I would give a bit lower, 8.8 because some textures (broken backlight, reverse lights) could be better.

Handles pretty much like the real thing. The Grand Marshal was designed to handle like the Crown Vic and this has pretty much identical suspension. It may not be good but it's realistic. 8.5/10 for fun factor, 10/10 for realism factor.

There are custom sounds in the mod but they are unused for some reason, I agree here.

As long as it works well enough, it's not bad. Nothing is "in the wrong place", if it was then it would deform wrong. It could be more precise, but calling it trash is too far. And tire width is not much off, but idk if the Jbeam or model is wrong here. There are a lot of mods that are way, WAY worse than this, not even talking about bootleg Russian mods. This is a 6.5/10 from me, would be maybe 8/10 if not the headlights and hood.

These numbers make no sense, first the average rating you gave earlier is not 6.7 but 7.3, and second 6.7/10 is not 46%... You make it seem like it's worse than an average mod, which it definitely isn't. True, it could be improved, but it's not THAT bad. From me it's 8/10, it has some really cool rare features like the shift CVT and odometer.

They are nowhere near as close to terrible as you make them seem...

You definitely don't realise that it takes MONTHS to do this...

Conclusion: Please be less harsh, realize how much work goes into mods and that there is nothing wrong with reusing vanilla assets, thank you.
