1967-1974 Hofer 1200L It is a Brazilian mid size car built by Austro-German company Hofer Motorenwerke. Hofer is based on DKW. The company was founded by Alois Hofer in Austria in 1909, but moved to Bavaria in 1939. The company started building cars in Brazil in 1953. 2007-20 Bruckell Cavalcade / Longhorn Merchant / Soliad Captain / Autobello Captain / ETK 1200 Series Basis: Chrysler RT Platform (Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country, Ram C/V Tradesman, Chrysler Voyager, Lancia Voyager, Volkswagen Routan) Descriptions / Lore (doesnt make any sense at all when i think about it personally): (Bruckell Cavalcade): After reviving the Bruckell Comrade in 2007, discontinuing the Moonhawk in the process, Bruckell's budget decreased critically. With the help of ETK and Autobello, who had enough money at the time, they came up with a new car. A 4-door minivan with multiple rebadged variants able to fit 8 people inside and able to convert to a utility and cargo van, which was cheap enough to produce. Thus, the legacy of the Bruckell minivans and Longhorn's utility vans was born, raising the the budget in the process slowly but surely, and when Bruckell's budget was high and fair enough, the Cavalcade was discontinued. (Longhorn Merchant): Longhorn was in demand for more utility vans, so they decided to use the body of the Bruckell Cavalcade for the said utility van. They discontinued it 4 years later, and replacing it with a van with the same name. (Soliad Captain): When the Bruckell Cavalcade made its debut, so did the Soliad Captain and other rebadged variants. Although the Cavalcade inspired the production of the Soliad Captain and Autobello designed the minivans, the Soliad Captain was considered the "leader and start" of the production of the Bruckell-Soliad-Autobello-ETK minivans and Longhorn's utility vans. It was later replaced by the Soliad Atlantic. (Autobello Captain & ETK 1200 Series): When Bruckell was struggling, Autobello, along with ETK, came up with a minivan to get Bruckell out of its financial struggles. The Captains, 1200 Series, and Cavalcade made their debuts, and after Bruckell was out of its financial struggles, the Cavalcade, Autobello's Captain, and the 1200 series were discontinued. Since the Hirochi SBR4 is loosely based on the Porsche 911 (let's say 997), perhaps an early 90's SBR. I also want to see someone attempt a restomod version of that, a la Singer.
The SBR isn't really based on anything, it's just so odd. But I'd really wanna know what a previus gen SBR would look like.
considering japan's economic state at the time, and the way they built cars, i'd say it's unlikely they would have had some drawn out generation like the 911-993. I've always imagined it starts off in the 60s with something tiny like a honda S5/6/800 or toyota S 800 (except rear engined an a shooting-brake sort of thing) and this is probably where the eSBR gets elements of its front end styling from. then in the 70s it gets bigger for export to the US market, something like an S30 nissan Z (though not quite as big, it'd probably stay with mostly 4cyl engines), but the rear end stlying could become some dramatic 70s kammtail like the mazda RX-500, with a hint of euro inspiration from cars like the espada/khamsin/ferrari 365 shooting brake. you could even spin some idea like retconning that the ibishu wigeon is styled as a miniature replica of this 70s SBR. alternatively, a more plain rear end could resemble the E50 corolla liftback. then in the 80s you'd have probably 2 or 3 generations in the 80s alone, with all that money going around. but in general, I've always imagined something like a subaru XT or S110 silvia with the roofline of an E70 Corolla liftback.
