D-Series Swivel-Frame Just creating this tread as a way to get some feedback, update on progress for an update and maybe get some help with certain issues of the Swivel-Frame mod. Now let's get down to business. I've gotten some good feedback on the mod but there is certainly room for improvement so here are some things I'm working on or planning. The things listed here are not yet in the released version but will be once all of them are completed. Adapt 3-link rear suspension to work with the swivel-frame (100% done) Add frame lock (100% done) Redo limiter chain jbeam (0% need some help) Add short, normal and long limiter chains (0% not started) Adapt rear driveshaft to always go through centre (100% done) Redo meshes (0% not started) Add hydraulic dampening and springs (0% not started) Add stunt rocket (0% not started) Adapt 3-link rear suspension to work with the swivel-frame (100% done) This has been requested by some and I'm happy to say it wasn't too hard to make work so adding the 3-link suspension to the swivel-frame is fully complete. Only the short links work with the swivel-frame as the long ones would connect to the front part of the frame but all other options of this suspension are available and work now. Add frame lock (100% done) Another thing that has been requested and was also on the original Willock swivel-frame is something that locks the front and rear together so the truck can more easily be used on flat roads. You can now lock and unlock the front and rear part of the frame together by pressing G. Even if the frame is not perfectly aligned the frame locker will pull it straight just like a coupler pulls the trailer in the correct position. The frame lock and vanilla trailer coupler have different key binds to ensure you can use both independently. Redo limiter chain jbeam (0% need some help) Right now the limiter chains damage the car on spawn and stretch in weird ways. This has to be fixed, I am not sure how I have to go about this one though. Adapt rear driveshaft to always go through centre (100% done) With the original one piece driveshaft if the suspension height was changed the driveshaft would not always go through the middle of the swivel. This was particularly noticeable when flipping the bed on its side. To make it so this wouldn't happen anymore the driveshaft now consists of two parts. The front part goes from the transmission to the middle of the swivel and the rear part goes from the middle of the swivel to the rear differential. This also gives more break over angle and less chance of hitting the driveshaft on rocks.
One thing I noticed is that if you go over really rough terrain and bumps, sometimes the bed and cab get hung up where the bed and rear frame are locked in a different position than the cab and front frame.
Thanks for the suggestion, a two piece driveshaft worked perfectly. Didn't take much to implement and it now always goes through the middle nicely.
