Ok so i got a little lost and named everything LHD even tho these are RHD versions lol (dont ask why idk) I added the Premium ones too (correct name this time) I renamed every file so everything should work with the attached ones
Not to worry! Did the job myself, since I also took the chance to remove a few files that were not really needed, so I'm glad to say the update is live with the latest additions and changes! Mod .zip size reduced all the way down to 167 Mb after compressing the config thumbnails and removing not needed files (thanks @Bexcon for the idea) Added LHD lighting versions of the normal LED and Premium headlights (thanks to @Dönerfreak) Thanks everyone as always for your support, help and contributions! The mod wouldn't be even halfway what it is without you
I've been searching long and carefully for a high quality replica of a real life vehicle to drive in-game, and this Defender meets my criteria...from the 3D model to the skeleton, to the dashboard, to the lights, and to the drivetrain (especially with the ShiftLogic mod). Wow! Just...wow! I drove/raced/crashed this car on Kirbyguy's Nürburgring map. Even though the Defender was not designed for just paved roads alone, I had a lot of fun! I'm personally not a Land Rover fan, but I just wanted to drive a real life car on a real life track in BeamNG.drive . Thank you for creating and maintaining this vehicle mod, because I will keep driving this more often. One thing I would like to see in the future would be 3D models for the I4 and V8 engine options. I understand that modeling is not a strong point of yours, and that is okay. I am completely happy with driving the P400 model, considering how amazing the exterior model is. Please continue the good work!
I agree! This mod not only brought tons of fun but also some great leaning opportunities from working on it that I'll never forget
I love this mod. The only thing that has bothered me has been the suspension on the off road configs, although I am not familiar with how the actual car handles. I tinkered with the settings for a bit and ended up with this setup being close to what I expect off road suspension to behave like
Thank you for that, but on which configs would you like this setting? There are a 'P400 Off-Road' and an 'Off-Road Extreme' config, would you like the setting to be applied for both?
This was for the Offroad Extreme and Bowler configs. The biggest point of concern was that the rear suspension was being forced against the limiters and had almost no rebound damping, so any bump or jump would cause the back end to want to bounce around
--- Post updated --- The configuration descriptions are as detailed as possible, and the truth is, the real Defender is even more confusing than the mod. If I make every single configuration possible with the parts it would be well over 150. Also, the damage is as good as it gets since it has been improved on many many times
By the experience of JorgePinto from trying to create the 90 I don't think these will be ever possible
