people who complain about paying for mods just say it once not hate if you say twice and more with hate you are obviously just jealous you can't have it since you are poor
That's not necessarily true, there are many different reasons why people don't like paying for mods, or just things on the internet in general. I mean, if people bought the money for a PC and the game, then it doesn't make sense to call them out for being poor for complaining about a paid mod. But I do agree that people should stop complaining so much.
wanting money doesnt really make someone poor. everyone wants money. i wouldn't consider myself poor but im still gonna chase a bag irregardless.
ok lets not derail this thread into a discussion of the ethics of paid mods if you really want to discuss this kind of thing give it its own dedicated thread
might as well make this thread a discussion page rather then on the repo page mate if you are only going to give it to trusted members. you do you
This isn’t for “discussion” it’s show progress and updates on truck. Which is a mod, which is also a land vehicle.
i mean technically if its not getting posted to the forums, it should be in the development screenshots thread
Aren't those just for screenshots though, there's actual progress and stuff on this thread so it wouldn't go there, cmiiw --- Post updated --- Bruh just leave this thread for good if you're gonna be like this, thinking that "creating mods = clout" is just wrong, we're lucky enough to at least have a mod thread with promising progress that's only 5-10 dollars.
the development screenshots is for mod development, its a dedicated thread designed to clear the forums of things like this your thinking of community screenshots, which is for anything in game really --- Post updated --- honestly i feel some people dont like the ethics of it, i dont care im neutral i dont buy paid mods cause i am genuinely flat broke but i also can get why someone might charge for one advertising it on the forums, on the other hand, is a different can of worms that should maybe be opened in its own dedicated thread, so this poor guy can just finish his gmc mod in peace and with a clean forum page for it
added some photos, but i do need some help with the facial jbeam in game it looks like fuck, in node editor it looks mint
Yes for now. It’s edited d-series jbeam. If you don’t know how to fix it don’t say anything at all. I’m still trying to figure things out, when I do, I’m gonna jbeam from scratch.
Alright, so I have some questions, and some opinions: For one, after reading through this thread, I don't understand why you didn't put it in the "Content Creation" section, as it will not be released here if I'm reading this correctly, as this is a patreon-exclusive mod. Please correct me if I'm wrong. As for the payment part, something tells me 10 dollars a month isn't worth a d-series meshslap... no offense to your creation, but it seems a little ridiculous atm. Perhaps this is more than a 5 minute job, but in the end it's still the d-series jbeam with a silverado mesh on it. I wouldn't expect anything near realistic deformation on this, especially with a frame that originates from 1986... Speaking of meshes, when asked if the mesh was of your creation, all you replied with was "the model is locked"... which leads me to believe you didn't create the model. Not trying to upset you or doubt your credibility, but can you post some wiremesh pics for proof? And if you didn't make the model, isn't selling someone else's property illegal? that is all from me, hope to get a kind response
Agreed. The problem with patreon, @BaileyLSX5 , is that you hype a community who share their work for free, meaning paid mods often is a sign of "bad quality" or "beggar" (in terms of money). Altought some paid mods do quite well, not having earlier "background" or any statement that the things you post will cost money, making a thread for your patreon is basically useless. Not to spread hate, just remember that this is a community where 90% of it share their work for free.
