I think the problem is more about having only 4GB of memory while minimum requirement for BeamNG is 8. Even if it doesn't crash at startup, FPS will not be looking too good.
Your specs is failing recommended requirements. Minimum is 8 GB of ram, you got 4 GB of ram. Your CPU is worse than minimum requirements. Your GPU while not stated, probably fails as well. That PC is simply not made for gaming, let alone BeamNG.
Forget about gaming, your PC is simply not made for Windows or modern software in general. It should be illegal to sell Windows computers with less than 8GB of RAM. They are ewaste out of the box.
I use a Ryzen 3 3200G but is has 4 cores and 4 threads, and it suffers in Beam (but I run it basically with the max configs, except for the refresh rate of the reflections), I can only load 1 car, if I load more than 1 it CRIES, RAM is no Issue as I have 32GB of it, so, yeah, you can run on a Ryzen 3, but 4GB of RAM is not enough, I had 8GB before upgrading and it was used 100% in every map
Yep. Just upgraded to 16gb and my computer still struggles sometimes. It's definitely a bottleneck between my Xeon (6c/12t @ 2GHz) and my Zotac GTX 1060 AMP!. (remember kids allocate more money towards CPU "oomph" it will help in the long run)
nah. It was one of those cheap x79 boards from china. I want to say about $100. Surprisingly still works and i have not had any issues.
disastrously low single thread perf (relative to what a modern game expects) not an issue for you? (⊙ˍ⊙)
I have to disagree. Everyone has their uses for a computer, for some the minimum requirement of 4 GB ram is fine. If anything, too much ram is ewaste.
Unless your only requirement is to boot to the desktop and open notepad.exe, it's not enough. Windows itself, doing absolutely nothing, has idled around 3GB for years now, slowly creeping higher... I pity all who have to open 2 browser tabs on 4GB machines. Or an electron app and an additional browser. Many such cases. Tragic.
Sorry but that means nothing. The more ram you have installed, the more the OS will utilize this ram, if you have less it just means the OS will use less ram for caching stuff. This will obviously result in slower speeds, sure, but it's not like you will run out of memory and blue screen.
Time is the most valuable thing on this earth! it's not OKAY to sell people hardware that will intrinsically waste theirs the moment they try to do anything moderately stressful. swap is EVIL.
believe it or not, no. It actually runs great. I can actually get a solid 50-65 fps AT 1080p Ultra on East Coast USA and 30-45 on the same settings on italy. (yes, I prioritize quality over performance)
