Ok so I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here goes I guess. I have recently been trying fix the Bell 407 helicopter mod, as it's been outdated for quite some time now, the first issue I've been trying to tackle is the outdated Lua. Upon loading the Bell 407 the game pauses it's self due to an instability, and when I open the console I get this error. As you can see there appears to be an error on line 61 of the electrics Lua, I'm no expert regarding Lua, but there appears to be an issue with the electrics variable. It looks like it's being indexed as a global variable, but it's nil. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I believe that's the issue. This is line 61 if anybody was wondering, and there is the electrics variable which I believe is causing the issue. I have also attached the Lua file if anybody knows the cause of the issue. I'm not an expert, but from experience I can tell that sometimes when there's a lua error about a nil value, it's not a lua problem but something with Jbeam, for example some important slot not being loaded properly. For some reason the console won't show what is wrong then. I tried to fix one helicopter mod once, maybe it was this one, and the instability there was caused by the rear rotor and I never figured out what was wrong with it, it would just start spinning infinitely fast on spawn for no apparent reason. It could have been something with the engine but I couldn't fix that. I hope you can fix it, the only working helicopter we have is the Super Gnat which is tiny and it's not on the forums anymore.
Thank you very much, I have tried to fix this mod once before, and I just deleted the Lua file and the helicopter would spawn, but it was a problem with the tail rotor like you said. I guess it would be wise to fix the Jbeam and Lua at the same time, also the super gnat is so good!
Sorry for the almost year late reply, I continued trying for a couple months after but nothing really came of it. I have recently found a fixed version of the Bell 407 that works pretty good.
