Cherrier Picnic ('92 - '03)

The Picnic is Cherrier's contribution to the 90s compact hatch segment, evolving on their previous iteration of this exact model. It came in many bizarre trims, as was the case with most French cars at the time, and was mostly aimed at teenagers since it was a very affordable car.

As is the case with all of my mods, this is fully scratch-made. It's heavily inspired by 90s european compact hatches, mainly the 106 and the Mk3 Fiesta. Most of the design is pretty unique, as I tried to steer away from just basing it on a single car and changing the lights.
Obviously it's still a work in progress, so keep in mind that none of this is final.

This isn't just a reskinned covet either, as the Jbeam has been made specifically for the Picnic. Even though it isn't finished, I always like including a pic of the Jbeam for people that care about this stuff

Features

I do plan on having quite a bit of customization for this thing, gotta spice it a bit since it's just a boring old hatch.

Engine-wise, my plans are to keep it somewhat realistic, and go with a 1.2L SOHC I4, 1.6L SOHC I4, and a 1.8L DOHC Turbo I4 for the special top of the line models.
I'm still debating on if I should make a 5 door version or not, it's a lot of work and I'm not sure if it'd be worth it or not, we'll see.

Diesel is a great idea, one engine with both N/A, turbo, and turbo intercooler intake, like the Peugeot 205 1.8 D with 60 Hp, 1.8 TD with 78 and 90 Hp (intercooled).
