E36 sedan owner here, I'm amazed by your work. All those little attention to details, and configuration options - mindblowing stuff. I was seriously considering to learn 3D modeling and BeamNG modding to make a proper E36 into the game, but now that you've done it, and done it good, I can be lazy again! It's detailed to almost perfection, and doesn't consume much hard drive space - This might be the best mod I've seen for BeamNG, even if I have to take -1 point away, because the glovebox doesn't sag, and failing doorcard rattle cannot be heard in the cabin. (kidding) It might need some minor tweaks, but still, it's an outstanding performance.
This is probably my favorite mod on Beam so far, but I have noticed some things... All the included wheels are about an inch too narrow. it would be nice to have oem wheels and be able to fit a 225 in the front and a 245 in the back, similar to stock e36 m3 fitment. also do you have plans to add the cabrio, coupe, and compact to this mod? do you have a patreon?
I know, I don't want to add extra dimensions for wheels because it complicates the tires, then I need to add many tires too. Yes I plan all bodys (touring, coupe, cabrio and compact) in future No I don't have
I've messed around more with your mod. Still amazing, I must say, but if I could, I would humbly give some recommendations to make it even better: -The rear foglight does not work - when you turn on the foglights, a lamp should turn on at the rear, I think on the left taillight -It would be nice if the km counter LCD panel and the l/100km gauge would work -The rear drumbrake option is not present, but the old pre-facelift 4cylinder models had drumbrakes at the rear, as standard -Any chance for the battery to be used as a separate object? 4 cyl models had them at the front, 6 cyl models had them at the rear. front/rear placement would give more refinement on the weight distribution -Weights might need a little bit of fiddling - the base 316i with an almost empty fuel tank weighs 1356kg, while other sources claim it weighted 1190kg - The M3 weighs around the same, while the real thing should be weighing at around 1460kg -After a bit of driving, the center of the rear bumper gets a bit dented, for no reason. This is more conspicuous on the unpainted (grey) bumper -It seems the only selectable boot lid is the post-facelift one, with the same fabric carpet as the boot's carpet. The old models (->95, I think) had no fabric on the lid, only a plastic cover, covering the boot locking mechanism. If you're interested making an old version, I can provide pictures of it, since I have a '94 model. Cheers!
Hey man, I know this is only your second message, so it's nice to see that you can give constructive feedback. A lot of people struggle to do this, instead coming across as demanding or scolding, so I just wanted to say thanks. Keep it up!
i followed the manual install tutorial, so i went to documents/beamngdrive and then made a folder called mods, and put it there
