I'm back. This map is a port of a GTAIV mod with special permissions from the creator, with a bit of a caveat. Since the original map files contained locked and protected geometry by the creator (FreeZiic) and since he did not have the unlocked files for his own mod, I had to crack them myself. After some work, and integration with my own toolset to reverse engineer the protection OpenIV puts on mods, it has since been unlocked and ported. The map features endless roads on the Japanese mountainside, set in the middle of winter. Features: PBR 1k and 2k textures AI upscaled roads and any leftover materials 2200 average drawcalls LODs Ambient sounds Proper material mappings for snow and dirt AI Cars and more! A discord will be opened for all future map releases from myself, and for bug reporting and feature requests on this map and future ones. Here is the code: https://discord.gg/DhjBuxjMrF Random FAQ: Is ProjectIV ever coming? Check the YouTube link in my signature! Are more maps coming other than ProjectIV? Yes, soon, very soon. Houses in terms of what? How ProjectIV currently has apartments and garages? If that feature is requested enough, I could make a similar system for this map. --- Post updated --- Video is live!
Everything is on schedule and should release on time. Even if some things aren't complete, a version will come out on the 7th and then be updated in the days following.
Released! Still labeled as internal testing version due to some things that need to be fixed for the 0.06 release, mainly some more tree trimming and AI. --- Post updated --- Issues I know of currently: Some trees on the upper route in the middle of the road. Some sand materials don't act like sand. No water (BeamNG update problem, broke it on all of my maps, using water blocks on ProjectIV) Trees are way too dense. These will be fixed in the next update. New update fixing most of these issues (0.0.6).
The map is pretty nice and large but one thing that bugs me is that the road markings and signs aren't on the correct side of the road (currently its for driving on the right side instead of left) since it's trying to represent Japanese roads. I'm guessing it was like that in the original GTA IV map and modifying it would be a pain.
