    Hi there

I'm running BeamNG through Crossover on my Macbook Pro M1 Max (64GB Ram, 32 core GPU)

I'm struggling to get the game to run smoothly - the scenery won't properly load and it runs VERY slowly and crashes occasionally.

I'm thinking i probably need to alter the graphics settings, but i don't have a clue where to start!

I've attached a screenshot of current settings

    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure I can help much but I got bored and searched up some interesting stuff related to M1 along with WOA.

    Parallels:
    Crossover:

These are much less relevant or interesting things that I found while researching below:

    Vram Available:
    Benchmarks:
    • (Gta V benchmark with parallels and crossover. Affected by ram and gpu between different versions of m1 socs. ~90fps on best m1)
    • (i9 rtx 3070 getting 117fps compared to crossover 90fps. Don't know settings but m1 looked impressive still while using transition later, ect)
    Bugs:
    Future?
    Bad Idea:
    • a yt video where someone forced dx11 with forced warp option. Someone in comments said it worked on x86 version, which is inside bin32 folder. Not sure it would work on crossover

    Summery:
I initially searched this topic because I saw the Oneplus 6t running windows 11 natively. It got 20fps in GTA IV utilizing the emulated arm plugins. Spec sheet also says it's sd630gpu supports dx12.
The m1 looks like it would run beamng well if crossover was more optimize for dx11/12 or if bootcamp comes and allows native windows11. Otherwise, I don't think you have many options. Maybe post in that other thread when Vmware fusion support comes and cross fingers

I have 0.28 running via CrossOver on my MacBook M1 Max with only 16 GB of RAM, decent frame rates.
After some tips of a Linux user I found two key elements to get better frame rate:
    • Turn off ESP or even better: Take it out of your vehicle configuration if the option is there.
    • Set cloud speed and cloud density to 0
