That's not official. The concept with that name was going to be an older model I believe, but they could reuse the name

Most of these probably never got further developed than a napkin sketch... Other than the Hopper (who knows if that is the one we have now or just a recycled name). Half of them wouldn't even fit in the current game anyway.

I must say though, I do hope some names get recycled as some of them are nice names.

The Albatross and Fulmine are the only ones that ever got any traction and community support. The Albatross would step on the toes of both the Moonhawk and Bluebuck as well as be our fourth pre-2000 MY American full-sized BoF semi-premium FR (GM/Bluebuck/'53 Special. Fifth if we could the midsized Moonhawk) so it's not like we absolutely need it in game.

I doubt the Fulmine name will get recycled. Maybe it will, but the original concept is something we still really need in game. I'm not alone in holding out hope for a 1960's Civetta GT, though I admit I am hoping against all evidence.

TLDR: No. The most we will probably ever see is a recycled name. For the most part we wouldn't even know any better anyway since this is literally just a list of names and abandoned 8 year old concepts.

This list is effectively a list of nearly 10 year old napkin sketches from a then-dev who is now probably more of a consultant as far as any of us can tell. The team, overall artistic style, and to an extent the entire direction of the game have all greatly changed in the last 8 years.

 

My bad, I though he was talking about the Civetta teaser we saw. Didn't realize it was about the concept list. Just wondering, who is the then-dev? Is it gabester? I thought he was the lead vehicle developer.

Gabester has been pretty quiet since his RSI. It sounded like he was doing more consulting than designing since then, and in the podcast in December Jared introduced himself as "vehicle lead".

Ah ok, i just found it strange he was offline for a year and he sprung up suddenly

 

He's been online all of the time. He just hasn't posted anything for two years, which is still a bit odd.

 

The other week his account said he was last seen logged in on August 2020

 

Maybe soon he will be active again
