What's wrong with file? Is your OS ever shows file extensions?

Hey, when I apply the LUT, the wheel wiggles a bit when I am not holding it. Also my LUT looks like the NicOz one. Is there a chance that the new 0.27 update made settings behave different or smth?

You can put power steering on a car to stop the wiggle. Or in ffb setting enable "Reduce strenght while parked"

This is the most helpful post I have seen in a while. Thank you so much! I just started to dive deeper into FFB settings this past week, and there is not a ton of information out there for beam. There is for racing and Assetto, but that's it. With 0.27 the game just got really, really good for me and spurred me into learning more. I don't have the Logitech wheel, but the same principles apply to Thrustmaster or any DD wheel. This tutorial took what I have learned and helped me dive deeper, and it has made a WORLD of difference. I had never messed with linearity on the pedals before because there was not much info on it, and you pushed me in the right direction. Once again, thank you.

A couple of things to add,
    1. The higher the max count, the more accurate your results will be. I used the default, and it did a decent job. Setting both to 300 made a HUGE difference in the "feel of the wheel." But remember, the higher the max count is, the longer the test is. And the longer the test, the more heat the wheel generates. This test really exercises your wheel, so make sure you have cooler air around it, and don't go crazy with the max count.

    2. It is best to do this on your own wheel and NOT use someone else's wheel.lut. Every wheel is different, and everyone's computer is different. This measures YOUR wheel and provides the most accurate result. Spend some time and do it right.

    3. With Logitech and Thrustmaster entry to mid-level wheels, you will have to set smoothing fairly high to keep the wheel from rattling. These wheels are the ones that are gear driven, Belt drives, and DD drives can handle the forces, but you will destroy most of the gear drives fast if it's too low. The documentation does not really convey this, and as a matter of fact, it scares you into setting it too low. Ask me how many Logitech and TMX wheels I burned up before discovering this. The gear drive wheels cannot handle the force sent by Beamng when the smoothing is set low, One my Thrustmaster T248 right now, which is a blend of gear and belt, and my force is a 300, and smoothing is too, and I leave the auto secondary smoothing on. The wheel seems properly heavy but without the rattles. I got a new Moza DD base for Christmas, and I am still getting used to it, but so far, I am able to get the smoothing down really low and have the forces still set at 300, and the wheel feels fantastic, but not everyone can afford that. The smoothing trick allows for more force but without the high torque that destroys the wheels.

Once again, thanks for the tutorial and the inspiration.

Dude, you are a godsend. I may be two years late to the party but this helped the game functionality SO much!

Just to add. Anyone with the G923/20 DOES NOT need to use a LUT correction. As the feedback is already linear.

    Strength - 350
    Smoothing - 230

If it clips lower it per vehicle in the tuning settings.

The raw curve is not usable in-game with such flat initial sections. It will lead to vibrations.

Please check the documentation on how to prepare the curve you obtained for a correct in-game result. In particular, but not limited to, the "Low torque vibration" section, here: https://documentation.beamng.com/support/hardware/steering_wheel_setup/#tweaking-the-curve

Thanks for the info, but I didn't mind for low torque vibration. It's noticeable only on start of the playing, after some driving it slowly stops. Playing like that for 3 years now with 900+ hours of driving after some play time on assetto corsa.

My experience on g29 with correction curve is very good on beamng. Can't complain. I can feel difference when I am changing some values on suspension for example or when lose some weight on a car.

I will try to edit my curve to see what the difference is. Never try it so thanks once again for the info.

You're welcome, hopefully it results in some noticeable improvement!
