Fun & unique facts about... Soliad Wendover

Hello and welcome, to now the 4th issue of what is hopefully a fun series of threads about the BeamNG vehicles & their unique traits which makes them stand out from other in-game cars!
Depending on the community reception for each thread, there will be more threads like these.

Here is some fun & unique facts about the Wendover:

• Only vehicle thus far to have a 4.4L V8; the previous smallest American V8 in game is Gavril's 4.5L
• Has an unique config called 'FATT' which is based on 'K.I.T.T.' - an AI-powered car from an 80's cult classic 'Knight Rider'
• The name 'Fink Appliances Ten Thousand' (FATT) is a nod towards the original creator of the car - Gabe "Gabester" Fink
  
• Only American vehicle in game that features a hillclimb config
• First car in game to have a yoke-shaped steering wheel (which is similiar to steering "wheels" in airplanes)
• 
• Unlike other vehicles, the Wendover is the only one to feature pop-down headlight covers
• It is the only vehicle as of now to have a unique "Safety Car" config
• 
  
• Features a very unique, 80's-inspired dashboard with monochromatic CRT & Vacuum Fluorescent screens
• First car to come with new derby-related parts, like derby rollcage, internal fuel cell etc.

Fun Solidad Wendover fact:

The Wendover is named after a market town in Buckinghamshire, England.
The name is of Celtic origin. The first element, wen can mean "blessed" or "white" (wyn or gwyn in modern Welsh). The second element, duẞr or dwfr simply means water (dŵr in Modern Welsh).

The meaning of Wendover is often given as "White-water", and probably refers to the chalk rich stream that flows through the middle of Wendover. This stream rises in the adjacent hills, bringing white chalk deposits with it.

It was originally planned to be a 4-door sedan, but got changed to a 2-door Coupe. idk when tho

 

Gabester said it was named after a town in the western US someplace, might've been Wendover, Utah but I don't really remember

Fun fact: the devs came with this as a project before i started playing this game. Then they left it for a while, and afterwards they picked it back up again.
Opinion: probs to the devs for not forgetting this project. i remember looking at pics of the wendoverproject few years ago and saying to myself "how i wish it did get released".

The first clip of the wendover in the trailer was also in utah so it could be

 

what about the bluebuck? also it wasnt really in development, basically an idea got tossed around with a rough draft then years later they finally used the idea

 

Fun fact: if you press siren button while using the FATT, you will see a lazer move on the front, also a kitt reference (including dope sound effects) (nice one tho, gabe)

 

I'm pretty sure the Bluebuck and the Wendover first got shown at the same time, and the Wendover was the one that took longer to get released.

 

Bluebuck was also released accidentally in its early prototype stages and had a placeholder thumbnail which was literally a blue buck. I don't remember when it happened but I remember seeing a screenshot years ago but can't remember which thread I saw it in either.

 

Fun Fact: if you crash into a pole with your Soliad Wendover, it becomes the "Boliad Bendover"
