Hey guys, I'm here trying to make a Adaptive Springs controller based on the adaptive sway bar one.

The problem is: I don't know a lot about lua itself, so, if someone more experienced can help me to make this thing run fine, I'd would be very thankful.

Idk if adaptive springs would realistically exist, air suspension is normally used for this purpose, so why can't you use that?

Well, the problem with ais suspension is that on higher settings, the suspension gets kind of stiff. I already tried to mix airbags with springs, so the airbag affects just the precompression on the spring, so even on its highest setting, the spring itself still works, making the ride a lot softer

maybe adaptive suspension that changes its state depending on speed is possible albeit very difficult and time consuming

I'm seeing that lol. Maybe I'll try to split the spring beams, in two, so I can make a coil sprung adjustable suspension

There is some sort of jelly water thing on this planet. If you slap your hand onto it, you wont go through it. If you slowly put your hand in, you will go through it.
Maybe you can find some codes that will make the suspension similair to this water jelly thing

This is possible to simulate for rally dampers, like fast bumps give different damping reaction than slow compression. But idk how useful it would be here. I woulf rather research how it's done irl on this car.

Also i just realised something (semi-) stunning

If you couple a trailer to a truck, the legs of the trailer automatically go up.
So that means it should be possible to somehow couple the connection of trailers to the suspension of a car.
Which means it could be possible to make the suspension become heavy duty when towing, while the suspension stays normal when NOT towing.
Which means that a car doesnt have to drive with rock hard suspension 24/7.
I dont like to talk big about myself, but sometimes my genius is...
    Its almost frightning

Anyways IF this is possible, i assume we will only see it on the gavril D-series, H-series, and the Roamer.

Irl suspension doesn't do this so we definitely won't see it... it would cause more issues than fix

Why is it always that when my brain finally wakes up, my genius ideas "wont work".
I know you ar thinking in a realistic way, agent y, but i am thinking in a deeper way. You are thinking like people do and should think "Very maybe possible, but it will be very buggy, also it is unrealistic", while i am thinking in a different and slightly stupid way "Yeah but it IS possible."
But fine. If no one is able to recreate my idea with tow hitch connected suspension, I will. I will create my own thread as soon as i got me a bit of progress because I see oppertunity.

I'm curious what will come out of that, if you want to use the same controller as the trailer feet then your suspension won't get harder but just taller, you would have to use something similar to adaptive dampers instead but idk if it's possible on springs
