Maluch JBeam rebuild

    I see that people wanted this camo skin so I added it, and it was way harder to make than expected (it's colorable obviously)

    I've been fixing some other things too. I spent days trying to figure out why the displayed shift points on ST 650 speedo are inaccurate to real speed, then I've read that the speedo itself wasn't accurate on that version, could be off even by 10 km/h lol, so I added the inaccurate version to the mod:

    Fixing all the bugs is a pain, but I'm getting there. Almost all the original issues are fixed now, then I have to fix new issues caused by fixing the old ones... And then finish half-finished stuff... Idk how long it will take lol. No progress pics but recently I fixed stuff like some hubcaps being slightly off center, some parts having wrong weight, some missing stuff and some clipping issues.

    So I think I finally fixed everything that was on the original bugs list. Also changed the interior mirror model so it looks more like irl and has a mounted light (breakable and activated with fog lights, but doesn't emit any light yet)

    Also I managed to find some images of the real military Maluch. Honestly it looks disappointing, I expected something cooler. The tracks instead of rear wheels were just a one time experiment and it normally doesn't have them. It is now in some museum along with other weird Maluch modifications like pickup conversion or modernized police version.

    hello, im happy to see that high quality maluch mod is being worked on and i have one question.... will it be able to keybang? like, revving it up good then turning off the ignition, pumping gas couple times and then turning ignition on, i know this is kinda complicated but it would be cool feature. Cheers!

    Currently doesn't do this but if it does it irl from factory then I probably should add this, I need more info. Generally in the game only sport trims of old cars can achieve a similar effect, and the sport version of the Maluch has only 30hp, way less than even a base version of a normal car... So realistically I don't think it should, unless it's another thing specific to this engine, like the weird flywheel weight tuning.

    Sorry for lack of progress for over a week now, I intended to do some progress today, but I'm having an extremely busy and stressful week at university, and it could only get worse in the upcoming days... And I've had 2 other mods to work on that were almost finished but not quite, with those out of the way now (in beta testing) I could maybe find some time for the Maluch, but this one needs a lot of testing too, since in the process of fixing the front suspension I changed most of the front half of the car's Jbeam altogether and I have to do all the crash testing and stuff all over again to make sure it's still accurate to real life. A giant change but definitely worth it seeing how it can turn properly now, with no issues with FFB or wheel wobbles.

    Literally the whole front part of the car except bumpers and headlights has redone Jbeam now... Including all custom tuning/offroad parts... this was such a pain to do and it hasn't been tested too much yet. All of this because of some stupid steering bugs. You fix 1 thing and break 10 others. I really should have tested it on steering wheel right at the beginning when I only had the body, engine and suspension. I wouldn't have to redo so much. In total 83 modified Jbeam parts since last beta testing, and plenty of modified models and textures too. This is exactly the reason why I'm losing motivation and want to release version 1.5 before 2.0.

    Hey, what you consider 1.5 is what most people would consider 2.0, so you've made alot of progress for sure. It's just that your goal is further out because you're one of the best mod fixers there are. Thanks for your work!

    It's not actually my decision what to consider 1.5 and what 2.0. Mainly TAN and Vapordude have the most to say about this, AdamPLG too. Especially Vapordude wants a fully revamped 3D model for 2.0. I only want to finish 1.5 as soon as possible in a releasable state, aka important stuff must be finished. For 2.0 I want to add some fun parts for the car like offroad and derby ones, AdamPLG wants to add tuning parts like in his BMW mod, Vapordude generally wants the model to look good at that point and TAN wants it as accurate to real life as possible in 2.0, with custom parts that you could often find equipped on this car, I guess to give it a retro/nostalgic vibe.

    TAN made new hubcaps, and I made grey version of his wheels, maybe there will be more progress later when I have time. I need to start putting all the textures he sent me in game, and meanwhile testing and fixing stuff... I'll do crash testing first to make it accurate to real life again.

    Prepared a crash test config with a new skin to do the comparison testing

    Also, turns out the other crash test we know was of a prototype front engine version (and the reason it had different front and rear wheels was because they used front suspension from another car), so it's not a good comparison for a 50 km/h crash, if anyone else knows something I could compare with instead then please send it here
