Hi, I'm trying to edit the dials on the Van to make them a bit more useful doing things they weren't designed for such as an 8k RPM tach and a 200mph speedo

while I've edited the numbering in paint & adjusted the dial multipliers, it all works and is accurate but I'm trying to edit the dashboard jbeam itself so it doesn't overwrite the vanilla parts & textures, making it a seperate thing

What do I need to change in the jbeam to get it to not replace the vanilla texture?

Second thing, is there a way to replace the buses brake pressure gauge to a tach?

Hi, this should answer both of your questions :

Here, have a late Christmas gift ! I had this mod on the repo some time ago but I redrew it for some odd reason.

From this mod you can also learn how to make your Van gauges a separate and repo-approved mod :)

    That Bus tach is great!

Had a look at it and tried to edit the Vans interior file closely to it but I cannot get the texture to load, it's as if there is no texture at all & I'm not sure if its the jbeam or the materials file causing it.

Mind taking a look when you have a moment to spare?

It's not the texture(s) not loading, it seems like the flexbody isn't loading → your 'Blender object' or other 3d program object
Make sure you have made a copy of the gauge panel inside the 3d model, and then copy that over to a new file without losing its location and other properties. Make sure the material name inside Blender or other 3d program doesn't get switched to a copy so there's .001 at the end of it. In other words make sure the material name matches the one in Beam's material file. And make sure the name of the 3d object matches the flexbody inside the jbeam.

    Does this helps ?

It does somewhat but I'm guessing the problem is the flexbody is not loading the dial faces or something in the materials file is wrong, the needles and everything else that's part of the dash loads correctly, just not the face
