Hello and welcome, to what is hopefully a fun series of threads about the BeamNG vehicles & their unique traits which makes them stand out from other in-game cars! Depending on the community reception, there will be more threads like this, especially for upcoming vehicles. Here is some fun facts about the Bastion: Other than the 1996 Pessima having a twin turbo option on a V6 engine, the Bastion is the first vehicle in-game to have (twin) turbochargers on a V8 engine It is the only vehicle that features additional police equipment, like laptop, police radar etc. It's the first modern muscle car as well as the first modern Bruckell Features new driving modes, like Caged & Savage First to have a 6.5L V8 engine, where usually the displacement for other cars is either 5.5 or 6.9L (nice) As well as changing the exhaust note, the Caged drive mode disables the supercharger (does not work on Stage 3 turbo) In terms of raw horsepower, it beats the long-standing king of the drag strip - the Moonhawk (~2100 vs. ~2040hp respectively (both with nitrous)), however it is minimally slower at the finish line It is the only vehicle to have superchargers as well as turbochargers equippable on all engines Its twin turbos produce more power than superchargers Feel free to add some fun facts of your own
Police version of the Bolide also has additional police equipment so the Bastion isn't the only vehicle.
When you crash into a wall at like 60mph the driver's seat fly's forward and that would probably cause a safety recall
I rate this car a 95/100, the 5 loses by controllability But who has ever seen a 800hp muscle car under control?
But on the Bastion they work as IRL, while on the other vehicles with the same system, like the D-Series it doesn't.
As far as I remember, it's also the first car to offer an exhaust that can be either black or chrome.
I think it's the first vehicle to take full advantage of the new color options. Matte and gloss (pure chrome ill mention) were the only colors before that was really viable.
It‘s missing a rear bumper support/bar so basically the only rear bumper this car has right now is a piece of plastic which is not how modern car design works
I'm sorry if I bumped it. Fun fact: Bastion is first in-game car that repeats all options from real real life prototype (Gavril Barstow in real life is Ford Torino Talladega but repeats options from Chevy Camaro)
Cherrier Vivace also offers black/chrome exhaust tip options. --- Post updated --- Cherrier Vivace has 'widebody' fenders for the higher power configs, so I'd say the Bastion is the 2nd to offer bodykit variations.
