Good news everyone! Today I was finally feeling better, and quite a lot of progress could be done: All body panels are now fully textured using PBR, including details such as the pattern in the black hood parts. A two-tone system has also been added so the main body color and the black parts (in the pic) can be changed as desired, just like in the real car. The first real color has been done, Gondwana Stone Metallic (in the pic) The doors and fenders are in, using the original Vivace jbeam but adapted to the new parts The hood has been re-jbeamed (without using additional beams and/or nodes) The next goal is to have every body panel in, and from there, start finishing up textures, so things are definitely moving, but again, cannot promise any date at all so far. And as for the spiking...well, not too bad for now, we'll see!
Today's progress, mainly the tailgate is in, and operates as it should (opens from the left) Also not pictured above, all glass is also installed. Hopefully the bumpers not give too much trouble so the jbeaming, even in a not finished state, can be left aside for a while so I can focus entirely on textures. Lights and glass would be the first thing to tackle, in fact, in you look closely, the chmsl glow is already there.
And more late progress, glass is almost finished (still working on damaged textures) then, moving to lights. (For those eagle-eyed, yes, the rear doors are jumping a bit out of their place, a general jbeam check will be performed after every panel is in)
And more! Headlights are done (details were a bit dull when turned off, added glows, also added broken glass texture): Broken glass all around (not the best result, I know...) And tailights are done too (just the glows and do the entire CHMSL to go)
First plastic textures loaded, and both bumpers are in. Some details here and there are a bit sketchy, but it mainly works well.
JorgePinto: WANNA SEE ME SPEEDRUN MAKE A CAR FOR BEAEM!? Everyone: no JorgePinto: *does it anyways* Everyone: yes
And even more textures in. Again, the end result will not be as good as it may look in pics, but if someone wants to improve on it, you'll be welcomed to give it a go.
That's right, in fact, it will be far from dev quality as much as I would want to, but still, will be a nice car to look, drive, and crash...at least up to a certain point. Anyway, another progress pic, the interior is going nicely, still quite a few textures, especially decals still to apply/create: Hopefully, and I'll repeat, HOPEFULLY, a release before the year finishes could be plausible, since the hardest stuff is done, at least on my part.
