I now have clocked over 2000 hours in Beam, and there's one thing we need:
More maps. Around the size of Italy.

The current maps are just boring now, and it feels like there is no more to the game. Thank you!

the ETK Experience Center map could be the next mission to build a new big german map with a autobahn, little citys and a big city

yea, all the maps beamng has are great, but beacause the smaller maps are so small, it takes like 30 sec to drive from end to end but if say all the us based maps would be combined plus some filler in there, it would be comparable to gta 5 or maps like the american road or roane county but much more detailed, a map that would have places like eascoast, westcoastmaps and also would have a snowy area would be super cool. or a map from like scandinavia with winter with snow and ice would also be fun

Yeah, that would be perfect. I just feel that we've gotten so far into Beam to the point where there is well enough cars to be content with, but the driving area is so restricted. I think Italy is a good size without destroying most PC's, maybe slightly bigger

i mean if thats the only reason, they could just do them as free, or even as paid DLCs and have something to say that these DLC maps require better specs... but i think if they could create a map from scrach and optimise it a lot, they propably could easilly create a 8192 x 8192 or attleast a 4096 x 4096 map

Maps take a ton of time to create, especially when they're the size of Italy. Italy was announced in early 2016 and wasn't released until late 2018. Even then it wasn't fully finished. At this point the devs seem to be more focused on career mode and remastering/adding pbr to the existing cars/maps.

I agree, but traditionally, maps have been the modders community's job.

My two cents is that I hate to see people reinvent the wheel, and there are a TON of really high quality maps out there, all entirely in blender and ready to be exported, and we're not really taking advantage.

I'm talking about the track building communities behind assetto corsa and Richard Burns rally. In RBR there are a lot of very long, linear maps and that would be perfect for rallying (duh) or chases. Assetto corsa has proper, huge maps for exploration type gameplay.

Many of the modders take donations, so one would think they'd me more than happy to share, if given the opportunity to reach a broader community. It would be so cool if the communities came together.

I agree, that would be amazing. It feels map creation specifically for Beam is limited. So would be amazing for us to join up with those guys to make proper long maps we can take advantage of, even if it’s for a fee!

I've always been critic of WCU since day 1 that it was way too small for what it tried to do... They could have just removed the track with the dragstrip, moved it (and maybe expanded it a bit more) to become its own unique race track and make WCU 4x4 using also the extra space of the racetrack to be a better built city.
I know the game works awful with big maps due to bit accuracy and performance but small maps, no matter how detailed, just dont feel right in the game. Specially with fuel simulation being 1:1 to real life and realistic tire physics.

Aren't we overlooking long linear maps? I think they're a great compromise in that regard.

I guess so but only until you realize that you really want freedom. Besides although 4x4 and 1x16 maps have the same area, as far as float point accuracy goes, the 4x4 will be more stable.
