The SBR4 is basically the Porsche 911 isn't it lmao

i would take a sunburst but for some reason it's really not stable at all and it keeps flipping over. And those wheels keep bending. I wil try nonetheless.

 

It's really easy to drive, and it's fast as well. I guess a 911 is a good comparison
The Bolide Group 5 is faster if you max boost and tune the suspension so that's it's actually drive-able. If I have time, I'll do another lap with a tuned Group 5 Bolide

 

I was playing for hours just to get your time and now your like "oh, guess I have do do another round"... Nice driving!

Got a 7:15 in a sunburst, it was close to overheating though so i don't think i can boost it more. I'm gonna switch back to the SBR4.

Ah. It would have been quite amazing if you managed to gain 11 seconds on a lap XD.
After a few runs, I'm starting to doubt that the Bolide can match the SBR4's time. The best I managed was a 06:44. The config a made is a lot more consistent and easier to drive, but the SBR4 is better in every way except power and top speed.

I'm not a racing gamer, my driving is not as good as yours.
SBR4 Hillclimb edited config(no mod used). Slightly more boost, slightly wider tires, gear ratio adjusted to maximize powerband utilization, tweaked differential to reduce snap oversteer. Hope my config helps you get a even better time
EDIT: This tuning was terrible, the ABS itself may increased at least 15 seconds. ABS reduces braking distance on tarmac is A TOTAL LIE.

 

I did another run with the SBR4 and got a 06:32.991. At this point, it's just a battle between different SBR4 configs XD. I don't think any vanilla cars will be able to get a better time than the SBR4.

I don't usually drive with my steering wheel and i'm not the best driver, also i don't know the track. After a long time testing i made a config for the SBR4 Hillclimb. i played with power, had in lower speed under 5th gear 1000hp with my custom engine mod (used the V12 for racing feeling xD) in 5 gear the turbo kicked in and added over 1000hp more (idk not realistic and its alot of power) for the high speed parts over the track. Also used a a 200kw Nitro shot. Just managed to get a 06:46:864 with a OP car.. I might need to drive more xD
But the progress of getting more comfortable and knowing the track more feels very nice xD Maybe will try another car with more realistic setup

That's not necessarily true. What kind of input are you using (controller, keyboard, wheel, etc.)?

 

If it’s a battle for best, then you can go further. Take just enough fuel for one lap and remove doors, hatch, seats etc. as currently in BeamNG that reduce air drag. Btw. That kind of competition is prone to be cheated on anyway, nobody knows if you drive on like 10.5g gravity, modified “super sticky” tires or edited map with increased grip of tarmac by few % giving slight advantage.

 

I want to keep it as realistic as possible for as long as possible, hence not removing all the doors and things.
Regarding cheating, I would imagine it would be pretty obvious when someone cheats. If it's not that obvious but suspicious, I would request a video. Besides, it's just for fun, and it's on that person if they cheat.

I had quite a few blunders, especially right near the end. If I could get a clean lap, then it would probably be the fastest as of now. It's a pretty cheat tier car with a ton of mods though, especially the CJD tires which are a lot grippier than vanilla race tires.
I tried about 15 times to get a clean lap after this but I kept wiping out in the last quarter of the track, so this is my best for now.

I really hate trying to hotlap with a keyboard, especially these really twitchy cars.

When I was selecting something to lap with for fun, I managed to completely miss the version of this with a manual, so this lap has a very confused automatic.

 

Would it make sense to make a category for each car in the leaderboard and a top 10 overall? And what about a ranking with the best time for each car? Just some suggestions ofc

And I know its just for fun but what about mods? There are some pretty unrealistic mods but for everyone who want to keep it as realistic as possible its kind of unfair.

Anyway, I need to drive some laps now xD

 

These are some good points. ATM, there are not that many laps submitted, so it's pretty easy to categorize things by looking at it. But I will definitely consider adding more categories in the future. I did sort of have it in mind, hence creating a spreadsheet rather than just posting all times on the main post.
