Idk which thread is appropriate for this new discovery I made but... BeamNG somehow supports FFB on Logitech Formula Force RX. No, not EX, RX. From 2008. It is not compatible with the Logitech Gaming Software v9.0, but is with 5.0 that was sold on a CD with the wheel originally, and it somehow works flawlessly on Windows 10 even though it was made for XP. BeamNG detects it as FFB compatible Logitech Formula Force EX and it works flawlessly, but only if you have the outdated driver from 2008 lol. I don't think that is downloadable online, I had to find the original CD for it. You can add that to the list of tested supported devices.
I mentioned this by mistake on the Speculation Thread, but certain Bastion Configs have different exhaust notes depending on the Driving Mode, like the Masserati and 2017 Chevy SS. SO COOL! --- Post updated --- I also thought that the most untamed exhaust note was just the same as the D-Series without an exhaust, but the Bastion has a more visceral sound and it's amazing!
When changing time using the +-1H and +-10M buttons near 12:00 the world may randomly become blue, which doesn't happen when using the slider
Just wanted to pop in say I have worse performance now in BeamNG with v0.24, seems to lag a lot whenever there's a car crash (or say a big crash with cars) and I can't make smooth videos anymore. Game also starts stuttering after 30min+ game time or so for me. 1800+ hrs play time never had this before.
Performance decreased noticeably in 0.24, and even more in 0.24.1; used to have ~30fps with 5 AI vehicles in 0.22, now I get less than 20 under the same conditions. Reapplying graphics settings does not help.
For me the Engine Thermal Debug App is not really working. i cannot resize it, because with the new UI the resize arrow is not visible on my 1080p monitor.
The graphics settings reset the shadow settings and the grass settings each time I close the game. For example, I am on lowest lighting settings, i want the shadows set to partial but each time I start the game it gets reset to none. Same with the grass setting, i have mesh quality set on low but i want the grass to be set at 0.20, each time i start the game it's reset to 0.50.
Agree on the stuttering. Shortly before it starts the console starts spamming audio-system related errors, at least IIRC. If you keep playing after it starts the game will eventually drop to single-digit FPS. Sadly didn't get a screenshot, will try to get one tonight if someone else doesn't. I thought it was because my new CPU is proving to be a bit unstable (was using Beam as a test since it was one of a few programs causing BSODs) but it seemed like no matter how much voltage I dumped into the CPU the stuttering still happened, even when the other programs were stable. Glad to know it's not me.
Yeah that happened to me aswell, though rarely The audio started cutting out and soon after, I was getting 0-1fps from 60
The Cherrier FCV and the Hirochi Sunburst really need better oil pans. The engine on Vivace S 410Q can even be damaged by simply braking. Situation is a little better on Sunburst but still not good.
1.I've noticed a long time ago that BOV sounds are not played when repeated, can I somehow fix it myself? 2.In this update, the AI setting does not work correctly, that is, I configure the installed bot in traffic, but after the respawn everything is reset, in version 23 this was not, how can I fix it?
I really like the update, thanks for the new content! But the Bastion has one issue for me... The 8-speed automatic transmission doesn't shift smoothly when you shift at lower rpm. I like to build powerful cars and then just cruise around, but during up-shifts, the RPMs rise about 1000 RPM before dropping down to the next gear.
This is the error I was talking about. This happened after about 40 minute of doing laps of WCUSA's highway in the T75 'Destroyer' config with the following trafficset: H15 D15 Grand Marshal Bastion Police Grand Marshal Police Wendover Police Bluebuck This error starts getting spammed in the console accompanied with some audio bugs. After a minute or two the whole game starts stuttering, and slows to a complete crawl after a few more minutes.
I've experienced several instances of weird stuttering associated with uptime and audio as well. One time I had the game running for ten minutes or so on the west coast map. I spawned a D series config and the game would freeze for a fraction of a second every time the exhaust popped. So I could drive along on the pavement with the game running smoothly, but when I would shift (only if the exhaust popped) the game would lag. Before I restarted the game I observed that the SFX of driving through grass/dirt would also spam the same lag, effectively making the game run at less than 1FPS.
