Can someone test this version of the map before I upload it to the repository? Let me know If it works
It's broken and full of outdated files. Might be best to start over with Simitar's fix from page 4 and convert that to .json material format.
I dont understand it, it works perfectly here. The level validator function was also used, all it found were a few duplicates that I deleted. I even downloaded the fix from page 4 you are talking about, and it worked flawlessly here. Can you elaborate as to what is corrupt?
basically it is already unpacked somehow in the mod manager, doesnt appear in map selector and you cant delete it from the mod manager
Maybe you forgot to move the new saved files from levels folder to the unpacked map? It's missing the terrain.json file and the path names in materials.cs files are linked to old official maps. Console prints some endless mapmaterial error.
Have you deep cleared cache before testing? These issues can be due to outdated cache and it might actually work fine without it
I didn't use the "pack the mod" function, I zipped the file directly from the unpacked folder. Last time I did that, it broke the map. Wouldn't even load. The error is here, definately. I'm trying to convert the materials.cs to a json now. stand by.
Hm. On my end, I have no ground textures. It looks just like this: From image posted above. --- Post updated --- Granted, I did not use safe mode or anything like that.
I updated the terrain and terrain paints of Simitar's version but console still runs this error. No idea what it means. Playable version below. Get this converter and do the rest .cs to .json work. https://www.beamng.com/threads/modding-tools-v1-1-1-for-beamng-0-23.71167/ -file removed-
Thanks you so much! I'll give it a shot for the other .cs files. What's weird is that whatever changes I made in the map editor, didn't get saved in the json or .cs file in the map folder. I also had that "upgrade terrain material format" button show when I opened the map editor, but no json file was found in the map folder. It almost looks like the game saves changes somewhere else than the unpacked/level folder, but I cannot for the life of me find out where.
Everything you save goes to BeamNG.drive/0.24/levels/your_map. You have to move the files from there to BeamNG.drive/0.24/mods/unpacked/your_map/levels/your_map. Console flood has something to do with lighting, you may have to rebuild the skies to get rid of it.
Thanks for your help. I wish there was something in the documentation about folder structure when editing maps. (or maybe I'm blind)
FunkyHunk updated Leap Of Death with a new update entry: Update to Leap of death! Read the rest of this update entry...
Just got it and by god is it great to play this map instead of looking it up in repository and seeing no results found.
Did it come up in the repo now since the update? It probably didn't show earlier since it was outdated.
I'm sorry I havent seen this before. Try to clear your cache before you run the game next time. And, I'm guessing you got the map from the Repo? Did you update all mods ingame?
AI pathing isn't the best (default V8 config, had a really long fall) Thought it was because of the config, but it wasn't (SP dunekicker TT2 config, fell of the side and flipped) The crashes are fun(Had some laughs watching traffic AI fall off the cliff) but it isn't realistic. Drivability values seem to need rework. Overly comedic, Nearly impossible to get AI down the whole thing without falling off a ledge
