Just make a new slot called "stiffness reducer (use in rusty configs)" and add a part to it and write "scaleBeamDeform":0.8 and "scaleBeamStrength":0.8 in the jbeam file. Like in your vehicle global strength mod

Wouldn't be realistic, it would also make plastic parts weaker (which the car is full of) and plastic doesn't rust, and also already rusty hinges would be even more rusty and would break instantly.
I think I'd rarher utilize the existing "panel material" slots and add rusty versions, and for the main body I'll have to create a similar slot.

So I added the steel type slot to the body (didn't include fiberglass as an option because I don't think there are dedicated fiberglass bodies), and there's the 20% weaker rusty steel as an option:

And also added rusty steel panel materials to body panels too. There isn't really THAT much difference unless you directly compare normal with rusty after dropping from a height for example. I think it's quite realistic this way.
Also I made door handles weaker overall because turned out they were stronger than rusty hinges which was unrealistic.

Closer recreation of sport version than before, the skin needs some fixes on the hood and the car also needs dedicated hubcaps, proper sport seats and correct size tires

(idk why this version even existed, nobody even wanted to buy it lol)

I forgot I wanted to add these, the vehicle was around in the 90s after all so it needs underglow

It works the same way as on vanilla cars so I don't think I have to explain it

I was looking for reference when updating configs and I somehow found a photo of an original FL purchase agreement thing from 1986. Not only I saw what optional equipment it had, but I also saw that there were discounts available, as in you could spare some money if you didn't mind some... odd feaures on your car. So now, say hello to a new config, FL discount version.
    dasadsa.png
It features outdated bumpers, unfinished side trim, and only front hubcaps without the rear ones... Yes these were real options somehow lol

That's all the configs updated I believe... Ignore broken thumbnails, I'll get someone to do proper thumbnails hopefully. I might add more configs, I have time before Vapordude finishes the lights and my other friend makes the Stig textures. After that I'm sending the mod to beta testers (they will make their configs too if they want) and while they test I'll starting to write changelog of the demo (which will be massive).

Small update and question. As you can see TAN is back on the project. He is like an expert on this car, knows way more than me, and will review what I currently have. He already pointed out some wrong things that I'll have to change as soon as possible. (FL/EL wheel models are made completely wrong, irl they look like some vanilla wheels but downsized so I'll reuse those, Dekielki hubcaps are all wrong, there were actually 2 designs irl and current ones look like neither of them, some stuff with configs is still wrong, and also the AC unit is all kinds of wrong, looks nothing like irl, and still uses textures from the original first version of the mod somehow, I have to replace it with a modified AC unit I made for 600 version but with fixed textures). And he will make not only a lot of new hubcaps (Maluch sized but also Covet/Pessima sized), but also some new textures, namely for the seats and door panels, and improved radio textures with more radios to choose. But the thing is, he needs pictures for the textures and will get them around Christmas, then it will take me a while to implement them. So do you guys want the demo this month without new textures, or later with them? Currently with half the interior having good textures and half bad, it all clashes in a weird way and some old interior colors look off, but TAN has a few Maluchs and HerbieTheRealBug has some too so together they likely have most of the basic interior colors ready to use for textures for the mod, and the missing ones can be made by modifying the ones we have. So we have a potential for having better textures, definitely not as good as Fufsgfen made but way better than there are now. Do you want the demo before or after texture updates?

Personally I'd rather wait for the full version (even if it takes 1 year). Most probably all of other people want the demo

The question is not about the full version, it's whether the demo should contain better textures (which will take way more time) or not

Since it's a demo everyone will understand and maybe more time to test = more things to find during testing?

I'm putting TAN's hubcaps in game, but I won't show yet because they clip with the current wheels, so he's remodelling the wheels to be accurate to the real life ones, we are also giving proper names to everything as we go

New FL/EL wheels by TAN (He confirmed that FL and EL had the same wheels)

Now I have to properly position hubcaps on them...

I like how you still use 2.79b. Couldn't get used to the 2.8+ controls eh? :)
A demo version is a natural development stage of this project. Note how originally the mod was essentially a shoddy demo, then it got fully remastered. A demo version would be good IMO.
