Octane model provided by Jako (@fairlight51) - Sketchfab So as some of you may know, I made some "Rocket League cars" earlier this year, and recently updated the mod. It was essentially an add-on to the RC car pack from the repo. I posted a photo on the Discord, and someone said, and I quote: "those mods look 2013 quality but idk". To say I wanted revenge is a stretch. To say I wanted to prove myself is the absolute truth. I wanted to more than 1up myself. That's why I've decided to make them full-sized. They will be Automation-based, but I plan on doing full proper jbeam. Here's what I've got so far: Rear engined V8; AWD It honestly drives horribly on asphalt. But get it on sand and it'll love every minute! It's got power for dayyyyyyyyyyyys I am now ready to release. The jbeam is still pretty rough, but better. It actually deforms pretty good... for what it is. Future plans: - Jumping - Boost - Skins - Dominus So just a reminder: This is still VERY early. As I notice problems, I will fix them. You may want to watch this thread to be able to get these updates. I've actually been working on RL mechanics for the vivace for quite some time now that could be great for this, I've got most mechanics working, though a bit jank in some places, i have basics like boost and jump, but i also have managed to get flips, flip cancelling, aerial mechanics including tornado spinning, though i need a better solution for that since it's not ideal yet, and stalling, also not perfect but does work and like flips it does cancel vertical momentum (that one was a bit of a headache to code lol) and you can drive on walls haha, The invite is expired btw, And i gotta go, but im down to try converting it to your car sometime, a little occupied with other things atm so might be a few weeks, but I'll see on that
Awesome. I was going to try to figure out how to code that. Unfortunately, this car is automation-based, which means that the JBEAM is done completely differently. It's actually made with thrusters haha, it's sort of been my learner code so it started super simple and has been rewritten and expanded quite alot, and since i don't know how to use forces yet i started with thrusters, I originally planned to reveal it when it was at a state i felt releasable, but tbh i only have one of my mods released so my threshold is probably too high haha, But I'll see if i can polish up some of what i have now and you can probably use it I also have a modified ball somewhere on my pc that bounces around more like a RL ball, it doesn't have rocket league hit physics or anything but it can be tuned to act sort of boomer like
