I spend a lot of my time in BeamNG making circuit cars and have run into a lot of issues with the max level race brakes not being enough. On some cars I can get 3 or 4 laps on WCUSA before they fade and on others, I can only get one lap. It would be nice to see another brake option maybe called "Carbon Ceramic Race Brakes" that are better than the race brakes already in the game. Edit: Whilst I'm on the subject of brakes, paintable brake calipers on at least the race brakes would be cool.
A race handbrake would also be a nice addition. Separated from the front-rear brake bias setting. Currently front heavy race brakes weaken the handbrake, and Brake Bias set to 100% = no handbrake.
There are separate calipers and torque adjustment for the CJD drift handbrake, but it's still tied to the bias setting.
Unfortunately this is not a problem I can fix. Although I did some experimenting and found that the brake force affects the speed of the handbrake (See image). So at 0% the handbrake cant build any braking pressure but the maximum force is unaffected. Devs pls fix.
I've been dreaming of something like this, maybe with different bigger sized rotors. It sucks having to download mods to be able to do some laps without brake fade coming into play. Anyways I'd love some huge carbon ceramic rotopad rotors stock in the game <3, They'd also make screenshots through wheels look alot better considering the tiny rotors we have right now.
Its not the bias itself but the brake torque. It seems that the brake torque affects how fast the handbrake can apply torque; If you set it to 0 the handbrake stops working and at low values it increases slowly over time as shown in the graph.
