Yeah, especially now we have fancy neons to play around with.
Day/Nightcycle needs heavy work. Especially night.

Yeah, evening seems too dark and night is too bright at a certain hour because the moon is like an overhead street light. It would also be good to see shadows disappear when the cloud cover is increased as well as the level getting darker because the clouds are blocking the sunlight. And also varying thickness, grayness, light gradient from various parts of the clouds to simulate an incoming storm, being able to layer clouds to simulate two systems colliding, and also not being able to see the sun behind the clouds when there is cloud cover.

My predictions (ok, not predictions, hopes) for the variants of the Bastion

S - Boring base model, nothing fancy, 3.5 v6, 8 speed auto and 6 speed manual
SX - slightly fancier, same engine, 8 speed auto and 6 speed manual
SL - Luxury variant, with all the fancy bells and whistles and the base v6, 8 speed auto
BST- sport line v6, with a BRT (bruckell racing technology) body kit and slightly more horsepower, 8 speed auto and 6 speed manual
BSTX - sport v6, same as previous but with sportier suspension and a slightly larger v6 (3.7) 6 speed manual

R - base v8 model, the s variant with a 5.7 v8 and a sporty -ish body kit 6 speed manual and sport- tuned 8 speed auto
RX - same as previous but slightly fancier
RSS - for lack of a better description, think scat pack charger, 6 speed manual

    Here things get fun

BRT - 6.3 liter v8, NA, same body kit as the BST. 6 speed manual and 8 speed auto
BRT Bulldog- supercharger thrown onto the BRT. widebody version available. 8 speed auto
BRT Track Special - 5.5 twin turbo v8 with a flat plane crank developed in partnership with etk, as well as a chassis tuned for handling. only 125 made. 7 speed dct
BRT Angel- you get what the name is referencing... right? 8 speed auto

    And some aftermarket support
Track day - a R with a fair share of modifications, still street legal
Race - what we saw teased, modified bulldog.
Drag- Bulldog with a stage 4, blower supercharger and the usual drag goodies
Street Tuned - sort of like what’s pictured below, based on the R with an aftermarket exhaust an intake
Drift - an unusual drift car, a rebuilt salvaged BST with a single turbo and the usual drift goodies

    And some service vehicles…
Police - lightly modified R with police goodies
Police Interceptor - BRT with police goodies
(Belasco City and Firwood variants of both)
Rental - base model with steel wheels and only available in white and black
Detective special - undercover police variant

Anything else, just say. If you think that any of these are unrealistic, don’t tell me, I’m aware.
No AWD because every car in beam has one major weakness and RWD only is this one’s.
Please like, I spent waaaaaaaaaaaay too long on this.
All edits are just changing the names and adding a few details to the descriptions

The GM 3.8 V6 IRL also sounds a bit rough with the muffler on. And I guess the 3.3 V6 is somewhere in between.
So we're only left with the 2.7 V6 of the Pessima. Dunno, this sound is nice and smooth throughout the rev band and suits the V6 Pessima well. It even has some Honda C30A notes above 7000rpm, according to my ears at least.
And I love the loudness of it when the muffler is out! Above 5000rpm, the C30A hints become even more intense without the muffler, it's like the engine has VTEC or something like that!

I haven't had a chance to listen to a GM 3800 in-person, but my car has the Chrysler EGH and I wouldn't describe it as "rough"

With a muffler delete, it has an incredibly aggressive idle (but then again, everything with a straight pipe does) and makes an awful "puttering" sound when you are just cruising along

Hmmm... Didn't know there was also a Chrysler 3.8 V6, I only knew the Mitsubishi 3.0 and the Chrysler 3.3 V6s from the 90s.
I mentioned the GM 3800 because the engine textures (especially with the Supercharger, having the word "Supercharged" printed on the metal and, also, with the Sport Intake, which is a rectangular air box with the "3800" printed on it) remind me of that engine. I also mentioned it because it sounds kinda rough (starting at 4:02, listen carefully behind John Davis' words)!

Fun fact: the Sport Intake of the Bruckell 3300 V6 also has the "3800" printed on it, instead of the "3300"! :p

Fuck, that sounds a LOT better than my car did when I pulled the muffler off (obviously I put it back on afterwards). The Legran NEEDS to sound like this!

3.3 is the EGA motor, same family as the 3.8.

beamng's day/night cycle, as well as the night lights, oddly reminds me of SimCity 4's. it really does feel like a filter lol. although, since they seem to be doing stuff with lights and converting maps to pbr, i think the likelihood of a day/night revamp is pretty high.

Could be. Besides, not all V6 engines from companies around the world have to sound the same! :p

    Ah, I see! Thanks! ;)

In regards to the Bolide, for the next remaster, will there be an inset rear window or “flying buttress” rear window like this?

I think the 3800 on the 3.3 with sport intake is actually on purpose because the sport intake was just intended for the 3800.
My guess is it was reserved for the top of the line 3.8l but was "accidently" given to the lower V6s

We already have an full size SUV (Roamer), an pickup with SUV like configs (D-Series, an Crossover SUV (Tograc)... not quite sure why we would need more. Maybe a modern version of the Roamer.

Arcanox has a great hybrid mod. Devs repeatedly said that hybrids are extremely unlikely as their high quality standards make it a lot of work in comparsion to the gameplay benefits. Seing that pure electric drivetrains could also use more features I would estimate changes of an official hybrid extremely slim.

A diesel seems extremely unlikely in such a car. Not only have diesels never been popular in the US in the first place, but the average buyer of such a car is probably not interested in fuel economy in particular and more into "Wrrrrroooooom"

Dont think so. Not to mention the hissy fit certain people would trow in the forums if they give it an efficient direct injected 3 cylinder with hybrid on top instead of the dreamed off big chunky V8... :p

Hybrids are also already waning in real life with pure EV on the rise.

Europe was always more popular for diesels... relative high fuel prices saw to that. As did tax incentives and generous (in comparsion to petrol cars) emission standards.

USA was not as generous with diesel exhaust and thus diesels where more expensive to manufacture, further decreasing their market share.

Not entirely unrealistic. Toyota made a deal with BMW that involved Hybrid vs Diesels technology because what Toyota could offer dieselwiese was not not fit for the european market and they didnt want tos spend a lot of development money on something that - globally - was relative unpopular.

That probably is map based, nothing you can do by yourself.
