I think the bastion will have a modernized version of the 378 that’s in the moonhawk. --- Post updated --- Kinda like how the d series has the 6.9 which is a modernized version of the 423 in the Barstow and bluebuck so I think it will have a 6.2 liter v8 with a v6 option.
The car looks too large to have 'just' a 5.0 V8. I bet it's gonna be larger than 6 liters and have the traditional 2-valve OHV design! The V6 is certain, since base versions are useful for making the car more affordable/economical/insurable and for serving basic Police duties (not Police chases though - an Interceptor variant with a big fat Supercharged V8 coupled to an automatic transmission would be perfect for such tasks) but I think a turbo-4 is out of the question. It would be too much work for it moving this large and heavy car, I believe. --- Post updated --- The 6.9/423ci is a Gavril engine, not a Bruckell one! I also think it won't have a 3.0 Inline-6 since ETK already fills this niche. After the Moonhawk, Bruckell switched to V6s so it would make sense to keep this engine configuration to this day. The only case of Bruckell making an Inline-6 is that it's larger than 3 liters.
WOW! The Bastion looks very sexy! I can't wait to drive this beast! As for the Bolide remaster, it will come out soon, I don't know if it will come out in this next update, but it will surely come out in the near future.
Definitely not a stock config, a race (or drift?) variant of some sort. Also it gives me Charger vibes, I think it looks good and probably will be a very fun sedan.
My new default car is coming! With a big, naturally aspirated OHV V8, rear wheel drive and a manual gearbox...just like they used to be before!
To be fair, there's a 30 year gap from the last Bruckell vehicle, of which there are only 2. That said, I wonder if there's going to be a pre-facelift version of the Bastion that will clue us in to Bruckell's design language of the late 2000s and early 2010s.
I think the car in the teaser is a trackday version Also, is the fascia rectangle-shaped or do parts of the widebody attach to the fascia? Either way it's odd
whadya mean? the 378ci v8 from the bruckel moonhawk, but in a modern form (aluminum block/heads, efi, port/direct injection) but all in the same displacement of 378, just like how the 6.9 of the d series reflects the 423ci from the older gavril models
My guess is he is bamboozling us a little bit so we dont get too exicited but surprised when they release it
It could have evolved through different performance Bruckell models over the years until the modern version
6.4L isn't out of the question at all as that's what SRT and Scat-Pack Mopar cars come with. I'm more interested in the smaller options, personally. I genuinely wonder if there'll be a mid-sized V8 and a base 6-banger. A 4-pot doesn't really fit the car imo. It physically looks fantastic though. I love it, they did a great job designing it.
