Is 2Fast Racing even safe? (solved)

I was scrolling around YouTube and found a video with some mods and found some 2021 bronco and some other cars I really wanted, But, the link to download it was on the 2Fast Racing site. I usually get my mods from the in-game repository or the official BeamNG site, which I posted this on (obviously) but it'd seem nice to have that bronco to go with all of the other mods I have installed. Please help if you can.

the 2fast website likely doesn't contain any viruses, but it's run by people who left this forum because they didn't like others complaining about how bad quality their mods were.
the Bronco mod, for example, uses the exact same JBeam model as a hopper.

so in short, the website itself is probably safe, but the mods are most likely all going to be low quality and not worth your time.

 

I can't say I have any personal experience with mods not available through BeamNG itself, or the official forums.

However, I have heard and seen reports of malware and extremely bad-quality performance & functionality of mods. It's not unusual for these mods to be 'mesh slaps' - where a (possibly illegally-sourced) 3D model is simply attached to the JBeam structure of an existing official vehicle, with no regard for whether things like doors, wheels, or even the entire front and rear of the car are anywhere near the nodes and beams that control performance or deformation.

 

thanks, I just kinda want the bronco because i really just like how it looks. I'll just stick to the main things for now.

 

Another geat example of ow bad the mods on thee can be should be the viper wich has the tires spawn with 0 PSI on all configs causing the viper to drive very unstable and slow, then it has no working gauges just like the supra with them saying the gauges are coming soon, well the supra still has no working gauges after almost half a year

 

I'm rather impressed with the mods they put out. They have a forum with 14k+ members don't let the opinions of a few discourage you from the opinions of many. They are always striving to make the community a better place. That's why they stepped away from normal beam.ng drive forums. This community (Beam.ng drive repo/ private mod creators) live on tearing each other down instead of supporting each other. TomCat (TC9700), camodo, and several other youtubers actively use the 2Fast servers and mods. Several other mod creators have joined the forum and posted the mods. They are pushing to have the best quality mods and trying to make the community a non toxic and better place.

The problem is that they steal things, and their attitude, as stated by @Agent_Y.

 

Attitudes? I'm surprised cause I'm very easy going as the lead admin for the discord and forum. I have done nothing but provide help to all of the community. I just hope that one day people could choose to just make mods and not slander others. Opinions are opinions ill leave you to yours and wont argue mine.

 

well also the video i mentioned was sorta shady too, it featured lots of mod land and world of mods cars. mod land, i haven't have found much info about it, but world of mods is just a big adware thing i think. it was also by some random youtube with only 17k subs, and was guessing some of the comments were botted because it was very shady and all of them were positive comments.

Then it's all right, but this mod as clearly stolen and shouldn't be allowed. I'm not a fan of meshslaps but i don't care, as long as there isn't stolen things. I also don't really mind stolen forza meshes. And these mods are pretty low quality, as all meshslaps. But i don't mind, some people like meshslaps, they can have them.

 

My mod was reuploaded there as well so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some other reuploaded forums mods on the site.

I would way its not that good as the repository and forums, but its better than other mod websites. i dont really care about meshslaps as long as its not too bad like that one Mclaren mod with a COVET jbeam, im serious.

 

I think there was also a Bugatti that used the moonhawk jbeam too.
