Update Speculation thread

I love the name too, that's why I called the bruckell pickup truck i drew in 2019 the bruckell bastion. I'm gonna give the devs the benefit of the doubt and say they probably dont watch my lore friendly car design thread (link on my profile page) but even if, it's a good name

 

That should manage everyones expectations

Okay, then as we usually say, "We can't rush art". That's pretty nice that you communicate this way with you community !

I was just asking myself : if nothing else than the new car comes, what about the ETK Driving Center, teased on Nadeox's Imgur and on game Wallpapers ? Will it be included in 0.25 ?

 

this could be a two-part update. as in the car would be added in an update to version 0.24 (remember the Hopper Crawler was teased and later shown off before a major update, but it wasn’t included in said major update, but instead was included in a minor update shortly after said major update was released, so it could be the same situation with the new car and other map PBR texture updates)

 

It isn't only teased on his imgur, it's in the main menu of the game as a backdrop. Besides i don't think it will be 0.25 seeing how little content there is, i tihnk it's gonna be 0.24.1, just like the hopper crawler was released on 0.18.3.

That's why i asked tdev about it

 

Watch the bruckell bastion have like 6 configs, one engine, no aftermarket parts and 20 basic mesh and texture errors because they had to get it out in time for Christmas. Holiday updates are nice but as a software developer myself, I can say that they aren't worth rushing, particularly if you have the luxury of working without a strict release schedule. Idk, maybe I'm more patient than the majority of this community but I'm willing to wait for a more finished product.

 

personally i think the bastion wont be like that since we got a teaser of it in around late october-early november, and the car was already ingame, so personally i think its gonna be a full car with all the features you'd expect

 

Which i find i bit confusing since i remember the 0.24 Devblog stated at the end that it will release the Bastion along other content.
Mhh guess we will see

 

I hope so, I was more trying to make a point that pushing for hard and fast release dates is not such a great idea with a cutting edge project like BeamNG. There are a number of things in 0.24 that are buggy or feel incomplete, including (in my opinion) the Pessima remaster which could have probably used an extra month on the interior. The seats are too short, there's no cloth option, the plastics are too shiny and it needs crappy fake wood

 

That contradicts what the official devblog for 0.24 said:

“…you can expect a content update that will be bringing a new contender to the game’s lineup: the Bruckell Bastion, an American muscle car that can take on all comers with style. Keep an eye on our social media for clues to the other contents of the holiday update!”
Not to say I don’t trust tdev but the statements contradict each other.

I guess this is where devs got the name for the new vehicle from.

 

Im Happy for every Update,but im so tired of Just American content in game

For this Update hoped the New car is Something British,italian,swedish,korean...but no... its another one American

we... European and Asian Players had also paid the game and we want Something content

 

You also got the remastered pessima (Japanese) and the last update brought the Wigeon (Japanese in game, based on a British car)
