If the 200bx gets a remaster, how does a fastback version sound? Also, I know it's a bit late, but I am so happy we're finally getting not only a modern performance sedan that the Sunburst can finally compete with, but it's a modern Bruckell at that!!
even if it gives you that vibe, I seriously doubt the devs would be slow enough to call it an "American muscle car" and have it be a dodge dart type vehicle but who knows for certain
Not sure, I probably wasn't active when that happened. Ay thanks man! Yeah, it's definitely been some time since I last was active here on the forums
If the Bruckell Bastion follows the specifications of a real life Charger strictly, that would mean only having AWD on the V6 models, and RWD exclusively for the V8's. I do know that from 2007 - 2016 (2015-2016 afaik was only fleet sales for cops) the Charger was offered with AWD, but is not anymore. Seeing as how the car shown in the teaser pics seems to be a new body car I highly doubt that we'll see a V8 model with AWD, that is if the Bastion closely follows the Charger's specifications which it may not since the neat thing about BeamNG is that cars aren't heavily tied down to having to resemble a irl car perfectly. Here's a video on the topic that I found on youtube
I'm wondering if the moonhawk is also going to get a light remaster/config reshuffle with the release of the bastion, like the grand marshal did with the release of the bluebuck. and as far as AWD goes, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not included for future game balance. As if currently stands, you could max upgrade something like a D-series, which will give you AWD and 1200hp, but a pretty floppy chassis with at best imprecise handling, or alternatively, something like a hillclimb vivace, which also has AWD and a nice tight modern chassis, but is limited to about 700hp. a max upgraded AWD bastion would likely have neither of these drawbacks, making it unfairly fast for the multiplayer/campaign missions which they likely have planned.
--- Post updated --- You could just regulate the specs for certain campaign missions. Would be pretty bummer just to leave that out because of certain campaign missions.
I imagine once the modern ETK's get finished they will have configs competative with some sort of AWD Hellcat Bastion equivelant, and the hill climb SBR is already at that point anyway. Or they could do what Chrysler IRL does and limit AWD to the V6 engines. I doubt they would have had time to squeeze in any Moonhawk attention with the other vehicle content in 0.24 so far (and I expect the H-Series/Pessima remasters aren't done... It is very odd to not get any van uplifts for example). I do hope the Moonhawk is next in line; it'll be great for Bruckell to finally get some thematic elements like Gavril and to a lesser extent Ibishu have. I'm also hoping to see the Bastion's engines swapped into a resto-mod Moonhawk. Speaking of engines, I really hope they start naming engines again. IIRC only the vintage Gavril engines are named, which is a bit boring at best, and at worst a bit confusing (refering to the Hopper's engine swaps).
Let's speculate about about the upcoming content for the 0.24! I was wondering if we would have a second part of this major update containing the Bruckell Bastion, the ETK Driving Experience map remaster and perhaps another big feature. It feels like they rushed this release because the community was getting too impatient for it so the devs launched it with some bugs and without the new car and the map remaster. Maybe the major thing tdev said they were working on a while ago is the new map overview feature?
Maybe H series heavy stuff, like school bus, heavy duty equipment. And I wonder if we see sister car to Pressina mk2
Btw, I was thinking about something : The new car is a 4 doors Muscle Sedan called Bruckell Bastion. The Moonhawk is a 2 doors "Muscle" Coupé. If the Bruckell Bastion receives a coupé variant, why couldn't it be called "Moonhawk" ? If it does, maybe will we see a Bruckell Moonhawk remaster next update !
I guess when the hazard lights button is worn, means the Pessima breaks down a lot. But that should be wrong for a 90s Japanese Camry-ish vehicle
We know that there is a normal police config for the Bruckell Bastion so there will probably also be an unmarked police config.
While the devs may or may not consider a bus uplift redundant with the passenger body style, we could really use a minibus in game as an alternate choice for doing bus routes. And at that point we are 90% the way to a school bus anyway. That would open up a great demo-derby class. I don't think the overlap is too much. A "what if the American wagon never died" combined with a supercharged +6.0 V8 should have a much different personality than the sensible and refined 85X.
I'm just hoping that when the Bastion is added, it will have some sort of tuning house variant available. Sort of like how you can get a HPE1000 Charger from Hennessey.
