Hi everyone, Vegas here. I wanted to make a thread where I post my progress on 3D car modelling. Just a place where I can keep my WIPs and renders so I don't have to make a new thread for every single car that may or may not become a mod. Here's what I'll start off with. 1987 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. I'm sure a handful of you are familiar with this model. I chose this car simply because look at it, it's a box Chevy. I wanted something easy to block out and just model for practice, but I still plan on making it look really nice, no plans to go in game however since there is already a Caprice mod. I hope you guys enjoy my progress, more to come soon.
I modeled the door handles into the mesh cut up all the panels, added thickness to them, and sharpened up the front bumper. It doesn't sound like a lot, but surprisingly it took a bit of effort. The door handles were a pain in the mesh!
New Update: Added the window trims and frames, which was mildly finnicky but nothing too difficult. The windows have also been added, mostly so I can close the body for now just so I don't have to see through the model and make it look like a full car if that makes sense. I just don't want it to look like it's made out of paper, but everything will be resolved soon.
