Update Speculation thread

Its not even the amount of content that bothers me but the GM WIP Remaster was really lazy executed.
The other vehicles got reworked properly in and out but the GMs only reworked thing was the now proper seperated body on frame and some minor jbeam tweaks.
Nothing else was touched, neither the body nor the interior.
I really hope it get some well deserved love soon too.

 

Can you elaborate further on why BeamNG is a case study in how not to develop a game, I haven't really followed the game all that closely since now and it seems to be an interesting subject.

That mod was actually really well done. The interior saw some upgrades (on facelift versions) and it could come out as an update and I wouldn't be dissappointed. It was actually really well made.

 

This is a horrible take. If anything, RoR was the "experiment", and BeamNG is the properly developed game. I kinda get where you're coming from with "great experiment with fun results", but how is it a "case study in how not to develop a game, or any software product for that matter"?

 

Probably talking about how the game has been in Alpha for an incredibly long time, and now it looks a bit dated with its previous-gen graphics and UI. Maybe they thought that the average "gaming" computer would be fast enough to allow for traffic or map deformation by this time, but now we have kinda dead feeling maps and traffic that kills FPS. Hopefully one day this game will be a lot more immersive. Maybe the lighting update from the map teaser will help with that.

Yes, it's been in alpha for a while and graphics suck, but surley it isn't a case study on how not to develop a game. That just seems...harsh to me, ngl. You might as well say the same thing about automation, and could have said the same for minecraft back in the day. I still think it's an awful take. Respectabley bold? Sure...but it's harsh. The devs have done a great job developing a truly revolutionary game- a driving sandbox with mind blowing physics and creative, unique, unlicensed, content.

 

I think they are parodying the GTA III police cars with Fiat Punto Hubcaps.

As said 50 times already, tuesday does not mean teaser. It just happens that sometimes on random tuesdays, a teaser is made.
I don't know why this is so hard for you guys to comprehend?

 

IF there even is one tuseday. But It just feels odd that they Teased us lots. First sep. Then OCT. Then in Nov. the 2nd ( near there ) Then nothing.

Seeing the Creator Program was done over 2 weeks ago is strange. SO i think maybe a update soon.

I hope some pics/videos this tuseday. I know you CANT rush art. But some info ( Even if its the horrid its not comeing till Jan/Feb. Or the good news its soon )

Either way. I am in 2 minds if we will get the new car This update.

unless possible They show it off tuseday Then this or next week the update.


Even if its later in dec ( I.E 18th-23rd ) it is just 26ish days away.

Also we know there is a preface lifted van but it will be cool if they did a classic version.

NO matter what i am glad to get some other color then the black bumper.


IF the update is not out for 2/3 weeks more i guess my teardown update will keep me sane for 5 hours

Yes i know, but i think that the update will go out this week for many reason. 1) there was no Teasertuesday 3 weeks in a row
2) Creators have the update since 2 weeks
3) we are late november, early december
4) they will say something if the update will take more time than expect

Teaser Tuesday not happening is no sign for an update coming or not. The teaser tuesdays are completely random and shouldn't be used for speculating when a update comes out as we haven't been right with the update coming out for the past 2 weeks where the same points were valid and we don't really know when the update will come out as the october update was skipped this year so we could still get the update late december or mid december
