This mod is great. Love the initiative of wanting something in-game, seeing no one has done it before, and going and creating it yourself! Inspiring. Now if only more people were like this...
Ok, I don't know if you've considered this but making it a separate vehicle in the selector menu? I know that in real life, cabover trucks are usually considered separate models from their conventional counterparts, regardless of how much they have in common. It would make it easier to make new engines for the cabover as well, since there wouldn't be a risk of cabover engines conflicting with any modded T-Series engines. --- Post updated --- Also for a proper name for it, maybe Gavril C-Series? (with the C being for cabover) And C65 for the two axle frame and C75 for the tri-axle
i could possibly do that yes and at the moment the moment you switch to the cabover frame it acts like a completly different vehicle so no modded parts from other mods can conflict with it and the mod size would get a lot bigger as well as i would have to drag all the textures from the t series over but we will see how it goes and i might end up doing it in the future and i do like the names --- Post updated --- also the fact it relies on so many of the t series parts i feel like its not worthy of being a seperate car just yet
Some suggestions that would make the mod much more fun to use: Allowing the Cabover Cab to be used on the stock semi frame, so that we can use modded engines, stock uplifts, and loads. Adding springs and/or airbags as cab suspension, instead of solid mount. (Aswell as increasing the space between the front bumper and bottom of cab to allow for movement) All in all, I love the progress you've been making and can't wait so see further updates
ok the reason why its currently like the way it is is because all the upfits need re-doing and if i were to make them currently available they wont look right at all now for the engines i left it so that it only uses my one as the engine thats in is has completely changed visuals and if you were to put a stock engine into there it would clip through the cab for the air suspension i dont think it would look right and also the t series production was between 1977 - 1986 and when air suspension came into production doing a little bit of research was in the early 2000s i might be completely wrong but thanks for your comment and i will try make more of the upfits work as i go along --- Post updated --- and that is correct the frame for the cabover has been modified heavily --- Post updated --- thank you
Ereigh noic indeed moight. Oi dawnt naw when u think is don, or as theese yongstas say "wen relez" bot im shore that this shite is goen to be owsom. keip op the good work, brough
As a truck driver I can tell you that every class 8 tractor unit made since the late 80s that I know of has air ride suspension. Now I’ll admit that I don’t have much experience with older trucks such as ones from the T-series’ era, since those trucks were before my time, and I also can’t attest to experience with cabovers since there’s hardly any left these days and I’ve never personally driven one. In the 2 years I’ve been driving, I’d be lucky if I’ve seen 5 or 6 cabovers.
Hey! I liked your work, I want to offer you an idea. There are no turn signals on the cabin itself, although there are turn signals on the back of the frame. I would like to see them someday. Good luck
