The interior model and textures are done as well. The soft top has received its own textures too and now has black and tan color options. There are also 3 interior variants to choose from : Black, Beige, and TTSport.

Yes, the soft top does work. You can open/close it in-game using the attributed keybind (O by default)

The entire drivetrain has been made from scratch, both 3D models and textures. The only thing I reused is the transmission model. You can choose between a 2.0 inline 4, and a 2.4 or 3.0 inline 6. All of them are manual and rear wheel drive only :

Also included with the mod are 3 brand new wheels, all made by ETK.

All of this being pretty much entirely done, you can look forward to a public repository release in about 2 weeks. I still need to tweak lots of stuff and fix a few bugs, so I think that's a good estimate.

im not sure if you're active on this community or not, but make sure to read the first page before asking questions. He said that this car would be available in only a manual transmission and rear wheel drive only.

I know auto and DCT is faster nowadays, but for me you'll never beat the feel of a manual, especially in a sports car like the Z3.

The first generation of ETK's roadster, the K-Series, was released in 1994 following high demand for sportier vehicles in the late 90s. The K-Series was later reintroduced in 2015 as a coupe-only sports car.

I've been working on this for the past 2 weeks (yes, really.) and I felt like I was far enough in development to create a thread for this thing.

If it wasn't obvious already, this was modeled using the BMW Z3 as my main reference. I then "lore-friendlied" the entire design, editing the rear quarter panels, headlights, taillights, grille, etc.. to make it look like an ETK.
I am far from the best designer, but with the help of a few friends on Discord I think we managed to get it to a place where it makes sense as an ETK-branded car, and not just a rebadged Z3.

The only things left to do are the drivetrain and interior models and textures, as well as a few additional parts. I haven't started to set up the configs yet.

Your Questions

As always here are a few answers to some of the most popular questions I've seen so far :

When/Where relez?
I plan on releasing this on the repository later this summer, so late august/september if everything goes to plan. Keep in mind that I can't dedicate all of my time to modding. It surely is a hobby I enjoy, but entering my last year in high school I need to focus on that too. I also have a family that I love a lot and would like to spend some time with.

In the end I think that the question should be if, and not when relez, what matters is that this will be available eventually.

What drivetrain will it have?
Currently there are 3 engine options : 2.0L I4, 2.4L I6, and 3.0L I6. The higher the trim, the bigger the engine.
Suspension-wise it's heavily based on a Honda S2000, using double-wishbone suspension front and rear, RWD only.

Will you make the coupe/clownshoe version?
No. I'm sure some of you would have loved to see that version of the car in-game but it's simply too much work for what I'm trying to accomplish with this mod. I'd have to model, texture and jbeam an entirely new chassis and body panels, which is not what I'm looking for. I'm trying to keep this mod as simple and efficient as possible.

Will there be a working soft top?
While a working soft top is planned, I have no idea I will be able to make one. I'll try my best but I can't promise anything.
