WIP Beta released Citybus Hybrid 8.1.0

There is a type of hybrid bus used by Mercedes, which involves the bus using EV mode to accelerate to (I think) ~20 km/h and when it's over that limit, it changes back to Diesel. Maybe you could implement that feature?

I was wrong! It's exactly like this mod.

 

I need to make an important announcement about the next major-version release of the Hybrid mods. I'm going to be migrating all of the hybrid code into a common mod that the ETK and Citybus will both share, in addition to any future hybrid vehicles I release. This means that whenever Version 7.0 is released, it will break unless you install the common mod! I want to give people a heads up (and I'll post something else closer to releasing version 7.0) so that people aren't surprised when the mod auto-updates and suddenly no longer works.

Hi i really like your mod. Great work!
Is it maybe possible to adjust the values?
I want a full electric bus with more power and more recuperation....
Or can you explain me in a short term what values i should change? (i ve done it several times at normal engines)
only for personal use and only if you are okay with that

Hey Arcanox, surprised and amazed that you're still working on this mod (with more refactoring planned!?)

Anyways, the citybus doesn't seem to work with the 280 turbocharger. The hybrid buses I take have a 250hp 6.7L Cummins lol.

 

You should try making a HEV Pack for the roof of the Bus to make it realistic?

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks so much for making this mod and the ETK hybrid. They have given me so many hours of joy over the past couple of years, I can't tell you.

From my quick testing, yesterday's 0.22 game update doesn't seem to have changed or broken anything about the way either of these mods work. But since this last mod update (7.1.0), even on game version 0.21, the City (Electric) bus config is not working.

The console shows in yellow 'libbeamng.lua.V.hybrid | Engine not found / Main fuel tank not found' - perhaps related to the 'Dummy Electric Motor' in the Engine slot? Thanks so much and all the best.

 

I hate to bump threads, but seeing as you're active on the ETK800 hybrid thread, I feel that it's okay to do this. In the current version of the game, as explained by Malamo99 in the post above mine, the full electric citybus is broken. It also seems that the bus doesn't want to accept controls for the air ride suspension, but that may be due to something else. I was wondering if you would take the time to fix this, though I completely understand if you don't, as the ETK800 works just fine.

 

Good news! I've submitted version 5.0.0 of my Core mod as well as version 8.0.0 of the Hybrid Citybus mod to the repository; the updates are currently waiting to be approved. These updates include fixes for the issues that have been around since the 0.23 game update, in addition to lots more stuff that is included in the changelog of the updates. I can't say how long it will be until they're approved, as that's up to the moderation team, but hopefully it will be soon.

Well, the last time I uploaded a update to my mod on a friday, it only got approved un the Monday. So, if you want people to test it now, you can upload the updated file on the thread, since it becomes available immediately.

seem to be broken i spawned in the both city and highway hybrid and they immediately quit running and the UI vanished. the buses wont move under my commands or ai commands.

 

Did you start them? Also, do you have the Arcanox Core mod installed? The mod works just fine for me.

 

Any screenshot or video?
