I followed Fundador's tutorial to learn myself the basics of map creation. But at the section when im supposed to add the "Scattered Sky" i dont know whats going wrong. I do just what it says, and something is happening, but not what is supposed to happend :p

As you see in the picture, the horizont is lighting up after ive added the "Scattered Sky", but i dont get the sky to light up as in the tutorial! :(

Any tips or ideas? ^^ Really want to contribute with creations in this awesome game too! :D

These color values are your issue

    Try colors similar to this

    0a5889050e.png

    sun scale = calm yellow
ambient scale = slightly dark sky blue

experiment to find what works best.

next make sure your level art contains skyboxes

    after that, go..

    1. scene tree>library>level>environment>skybox

    2. Select your new skybox in the scene tree

    3. hold ctrl and click all sky related items and right click on one while hold shift, create a new simgroup> rename to "my_sky" or similar.

    4. In scene select your skybox

    5. select skybox material

now you need a skybox and clouds

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    skybox

next make sure your level art contains skyboxes

    after that, go..

    1. scene tree>library>level>environment>skybox

    2. Select your new skybox in the scene tree

    3. hold ctrl and click all sky related items and right click on one, create a group> rename to "my_sky" or similar.

    4. In scene select your skybox

    5. select skybox material

    For this just use blueskymat

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Clouds

    1. do the same thing you did to add the skybox however this time select "Cloudlayer" instead

    2. add this to your sky group

    3. now select your clouds and than collapse the texture layers "0,1,2" and play around with values in there to see what looks good.

Also if you have issues with fog being a pain

    1. in scene tree select your levelinfo

    aab638a364.png

    2. select the fogdesity and set it to 0.0001 or 0
