I'd argue those came together because they share parts. Easiest to get them out at the same time, then. The teaser car and re-mastered Pessima I suspect are going to share nothing. So either the devs are cooking something funky up, or this update will be an odd one out with a new car and an unrelated re-master coming at the same time.
Holy crap man. This is great am shocked they are giving the pessima love seeing how its not the worst ( most dated ) car in the game. But mind you it does lack content. I wonder if we get some coupe version of it
Id honestly convinced all the teased stuff makes it in because diamondback stated that they would skip an update cycle to make this next one alot more packed
Where did he say that, I thought they were skipping an update cycle to focus on a new build system, minor bug fixes and code cleanup - stuff that is necessary for dev quality of life but not worth its own big update. That said, with all the teasers coming out lately as well as the mid-November target, I would say we are past the "lost update cycle" and the next update is not too far away.
Not sure if it was Diamondback per se but its probably buried under heaps of pointless update "speculating"
would be nice tbf, since the legran got a new bodystyle (wagon) and the pigeon got one too (4 wheel) youd think the pessima will get one too
I mean, maybe, but there are already wipers in game that aren't functional, so the wipers existing isn't an indicator of working wipers.
So the thing about the Pessima rework is that, from that angle, in that form, it actually looks like there were significant changes made to the car's front-end styling. Have they decided to reduce its Mazda 626 resemblance? Headlights seem straighter and more angled especially on top and on the fender side. Maybe a little more flush on the bottom, without the "shelf" that's below them in the current version. Smaller grille, flatter hood. Subtle changes with a huge effect - it actually looks a couple model years older now, and has gone from a puffy Mazda 626/Ford Taurus thing to showing clear mid-1990s Honda/Toyota influence.
Hadn't thought about our beloved Pigeon stabilizers!! Hehehehe!! Yep, many of us have been missing this lug pattern for quite a long time and it's also gonna make it easier for the devs (both the Dev Team and the Mod Devs) to make kinds of race cars that have it (like the BeamTCC Pessima shown here or Formula mods/Formula official content)! --- Post updated --- And the new Wigeon and remastered Pigeon were too!
That pretty much says what I thought, that they were taking their time to restructure the codebase for easier development and testing, stuff that players would only notice in the form of fewer bugs/maybe better performance and hence would have made for a disappointing "major" update. That said, the pattern for the last few updates actually seems to be that new cars and remasters are usually released side by side, so it makes sense that the mystery car and the remastered Pessima would be released together
Looking at the new Pessima image, I can't tell if the devs have changed the shape of the rear passenger windows. As they are now, they would only be able to roll down about halfway before hitting the edge of the door panel.
I don't think they have since a remastering always includes a light facelift of the bodywork of each car. --- Post updated --- Dunno, I think the mystery car looks dramatically different from what any result a new Pessima could end up to.
TBH, I don't think Traction Control ever need that amount of tuning, an everyday car is not a UAV or something like that. A simple speed comparison and throttle retardation is all need, this is because Traction Control doesn't need to control wheelspeed precisely since TC is not a speed governor in a generator/constant speed drive. Remember the KISS principle? A system with unnecessary complexity is both hard to understand and hard to debug.
I have a hunch that the devs leave them there on purpose, as the LeGran (before the remaster) "accidentally" had all of the new engine textures hidden in the game files. Anyway, I don't think it was there before this update.
I have been always hoping for an Australian car, and there was a facelift mod for the Pessima that added in a very Holden looking front grille, but without the proper race equipment it was lacklustre. The racing skin also looks like this one (basing it mainly on colours tbh)? Maybe they tried to make it look like lots of different supercar championships liverys. Now i can finally scratch my V8 supercar itch
