The list of the absolutely amazing modders of September 2021 (in no order): Nekkit, LucasBE, LJ74, SuperAusten64, iRetr0x, Nacho Problem, CRGZ (on reddit, prasu remaster), Lordlichi2006, YutaVeneno, Theo Wilkinson, Finn Wilkinson, Milendur, Shuddair, Kueso, TrackpadUser, and Solarpower07 (sorry for the previous ping everyone, I deeply apologise)
Simplified my dummy Jbeam (only the driving version) because too much complexity was causing issues with clipping, mesh inversion and even rarely exploding, and it doesn't need 100% accurate collision anyway if it's inside the car and nothing can hit it directly. Limiting the movement of parts is now done via support beams rather than physical collision like before. It's like half the amount of nodes and beams it used to be, which in theory also means less lag. Standing version is unchanged as it needs accurate collision and I can't sacrifise it to fix rare bugs. Maybe release soon-ish? Still needs way more testing.
Working on something for my first mod again and seems promising. Interesting experiment, too high inertia makes the engine explode eventually, too low explode instantly, and any negative causes it to implode... I like doing crazy experiments like this lol. I want to add weird settings like this for everything possible in the engine, like inertia, friction, engine brake, fuel efficiency, exhaust settings, temperature resistence, max torque, idle RPM, whole torque curve, superchargers, turbo, ECU... A lot of stuff, potentially a lot of crazy combinations that lead do weird behavior lol Edit: Engine with negative efficiency generates fuel and nitrous oxide instead of using it lol, also cools itself instead of gaining temperature
