i personally think that beam ng drive needs to revive some of these older cars like the Gavril bluebuck, the Gavril Barstow the bruckell moonhawlk and update them for the modern era. it would totally make sense in my opinion. or at least have a partnership between the fictional automakers to make modern vehicles. like charroit team up with Gavril or ibishu team up with Hirsochi
I see that you are fairly new here. Welcome to the forums! The topic about adding more modern vehicles to the game has been discussed many times before. Please use the search function to research on some already-existing threads before posting. Cheers!
I think the only reason they hate the "Mustang" Mach-E is because a Mustang is not a Mustang without a big fat loud engine
they should but its never going to happen, they focus on 80s and 90s cars primarily for whatever reason
considering the game's niche audience, it makes sense people play car games to escape the boring modern car they daily drive, to drive something more entertaining and less handholdy / idiotproof what good is a modern luxobarge in a game that can't emulate any of its features properly, and when they drive like trash
that in my opinion is what beam should really do whenever they get done with all of the retro cars. make modern cars and maybe bring some of the older retro cars back into the modern era. i would love to see a revival of the Gavril Barstow nameplate brought back for the 2021 model year and have it be a muscle car.
Personally I don't mind the era (though pre 2000s is my preference) but I believe the most important thing is diversifying the vehicle range (basically put all the American and Japanese cars on hold for a bit) and concentrate on getting as many different types of cars in the game as possible and filling in the much needed gaps (BRITISH, Soviet, Indian, Sweedish and other European cars from Italy, Germany and France because they are awesome )
there's also other types of car themselves that are extremely underrepresented, such as grand tourers or obviously minivans/MPVs
Also true, but also vans (Transit-style vans) and modern trucks, kei cars, pre war cars, 60s sporty cars, 70s small saloons etc
I just mentioned a few but yeah, although we do kinda have kei cars (albeit not the 'true' ones since they're inspired by British cars), there is a lot of holes to be covered by those archetypes.
