Took my first dive into the world of modding with blender and thought id share what I came up with. Took me 2 days and a ton of tutorials/trial and error to complete this. This was when i first finished the model. Was actually quite easy for this vehicle A shot of it in game. This took me ages, I struggled to get it in game and the lack of useful tutorials didn't help. I broke everything many times but through shear will and trial and error I managed to finally get it to appear. A pic showing the difference between the stock and cut fender. Here's the end product of it with a UV material, this took me ages. First of all I wasn't even sure if this was the correct way to do it. Then material was originally on the fender backwards and I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get it to go the other direction and I couldn't find anything online. But again after 2 hours of trial and error i figured out a solution. Here's the end product. I finished it tonight at 11:58PM. I'm so happy with it. I knew absolutely nothing about blender when I started I was unsure if id ever be able to do it. Obviously this isn't the most complex or amazing mod and i still got three fenders to go but I'm pretty happy with it and ill hopefully grow and get better at it from here.
Will you please share the step by step process .....!! --- Post updated --- For blender to beamng export and use it inside a beamng ...!! please i am new here
depends on what part your doing. adding in slightly modified fenders into the game as a new selectable part is slightly different than other parts. Also im also still very new to this so i dont think i should be giving out tutorials till im more experienced. Theres a video i used to figure out exporting the model but i ended up doing it slightly different(i added the parts as part of the actual blackfoot mod instead of a separate mod zip cause im never sharing this im just making a sorta remastered blackfoot for myself) but heres the video i ran across that learned a bit from. to export your model from blender go file/export/Collada(default)(.dae) All of what i figured out was from searching the internet and completing various tutorials. if you wanna do something like this the internet is your best friend. Right now i finishing up a slightly more complex super cut fender so hopefully ill be able to fit 38 inch tires. got no pics as im not at my pc.(im on i pad) sorry if this doesnt make much sense i just got off a long day of work and im super tired
