Minor optional update - You are now notified when a server is connected to, no more guessing - You are now notified when a server couldn't be found for your selected level - You are now notified when you spawn a vehicle, and the server rejects it (ex. if it's a mod, or you have too many spawned already)
I don't have access to internet in the whole day, just some hours. That's why I want to have no jbeam on single player. Nothing is funny...
though, the jbeam of "your" car is still working, its just that the other cars have no collision.. you can do this in the game without needing mods, just turn on simplified collisions. this multiplayer mod is practically just that, with no collisions or physics of the other vehicle on your screen
Oh I thought I'll have no collision triangles at all, even on my own car... so, another fail in trying to have more fps
I knew it. At the lowest settings, the game looks like a... um... a game from 2010. So, I prefer playing with these settings. Everything at the lowest except: Lighting quality: low Shader quality: low Anti uh... "allaising" (I can't remember its spelling): On (FXAA) Also with no shadow (I can have shadow with 1 car, but with 2 cars, no shadow) There are lots of differences between lowest and low shader quality, that's why I use low one. And I have no light flare in lowest lighting quality. So tbh, I'm playing with lowest settings that my mind can deal with it. And with these settings, I have lag after 20 minutes I play with 2 cars on GridMap2
New update? Oof does that mean I need to reinstall? Also will people on older version still be able to connect?
It's optional, first version still works fine. Only difference with the newer one is it contains new notifications so it's more clear what's going on.
I like the idea, but I don't see the benefit over playing another, more mature, multiplayer mod and just changing the collision model, maybe even via a server-provided mod, so everyone on the server has it changed. What does this mod do different to further improve performance? I like playing with random new people, so I would rather get this experience on an established multiplayer mod, but maybe there's something I'm missing? Please excuse my ignorance, I'm just quite curious
you can have waaaaay more cars here (upto 100 or more i guess) since the other cars dont have physics enabled
I am just wondering if his time was better spent making a plugin for BeamMP that does exactly this, and if that would yield similar performance.
You still encounter spawn/config change lag then. But also due to previous experience with the BeamMP developers..
btw, thats one thing i did notice, the other player changing car, doesnt affect my gameplay in anyway, doesnt freeze etc. thats really good lol
I don't speak for the BeamMP team, but a lot has changed on it since then. Anyways, let's hope someone makes a plugin like this so I can play it without running even more closed source software.
